The locomotive is indeed gauge 1668mm built for the Minho y Douro (MD) Railway as their No. 104. from 1931 subsequently becoming No. 1754 and, from 1952 No. 754 with CfP.

Now located in the roundhouse at FMNF Entroncamento, this locomotive was delivered to the M.D. as No. 104; became CP No. 2704 in 1931 and subsequently No. 754 from 1952. The construction number is, however BMAG - Schwartzkopff (Berlin) No. 5239 of 1914; certainly NOT No. 5288 for which it bears a plate in the museum! It is, of course, 1668mm.

If my portugese rail friend is rigth that in Portugal there are no Locos with separate tender in narrow gauge then the CFP 754 will also possibly be broad gauge 1665 mm as I told you for the CFP 248 one week ago. Or have you any better information? Best regards, Wolf Ruppert
