S160 2-8-0 No. 2253 "OMAHA" will be visiting the Churnet Valley Railway for a special groundbreaking event on the 26th of October 2019 in aid of returning trains to Leek for the first time since 1970! Dubbed Super Power Saturday the event will see No. 2253 join sister Churnet Valley based S160s No. 5197 and 6046 a awesome site of three S160 2-8-0s working together in the UK for the first time since 1944.

The ex London & South Western Railway 02 Class 0-4-4T W24 "Calbourne" has been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul having worked her final trains at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway over the weekend.

The locomotive was still in (secure) storeage inside Drama shed/museum in September 2019, obtainable images will shortly appear on the site. Whilst it is possible that sister locomotive No. 964 was behind No. 962 in the shed, this could not be observed either way due to lack of access, as was the case in Thessaloniki depot where it may also be stored.

The D&RG 168 moved under her own power at 18:30 on September 27, 2019 in Antonito, CO. First time under steam in over 81 years! Status can now be changed to operational.

The engine was in deteriorating condition for a while but got cosmetically restored a few years ago and now looks much better.

Loco title is De Beers Consolidation Mines Ltd, No.3 "Olive" built by Bagnall 1814 in 1907.

Agreed, Sam. The loco is clearly not a saddle tank loco and is of North American origin. It carries the number 9 on the smokebox

93.1394 (378.94) ran in service with the BBÖ as their No. 378.94 (1927 - 1938) before becoming, successively, DRB No. 93 1394 (1938 - 19+45); ÖStB (1945 - 1953) and ÖBB (1953 - ). Believed to be in working order and out-stationed at ÖBB Zfl Salzburg-Itzling

44.1595 ran in this guise for DRB (1943 - 1945); then DR (1945 - 1970) before being renumbered by DR No 44 0595-7 (presumably upon being converted to running with oil) until 1982, when it reverted to DR No. 44 1595 until final withdrawal in 1993.

Although designated BBÖ No.729.25, this locomotive apparently entered service in 1938 as DRB No. 78 625, which it retained until 1968 when it entered departmental service as No. 010.53 until withdrawal in 1978.

50.459 (657.3459) ran in Romania before removal to Amplefwang for preservation as a copied Prussian G10 type. It was never a KPEV locomotive although, the second number being allocated by the ÖGEG for Austrian purposes in the same Class as DRG examples.

44.1614 emerged from the Oberschlesische Lokfabrik Krenau (Chrzanów), Poland in 1943 as DRB No. 44 614, becoming DR No. 44 0614 (1945 - 1970) and DR No. 44 1614 from 1982. The locomotive was converted to burn oil, possibly 1970 - 1982.

Loco is located at far end of Platform 1. As you come up from the underpass that gives access to all platforms, turn right and walk along platform 1 and you will find 326.136 in a small park area.
