Coulbourne Bros. Lumber 2-6-0 No. 4Posted by: Matthew Gardner on Jul 9, 2020 @ 11:07:33
In my honest opinion, all 3 of the engines which were left in the Glover Works after the locomotive business ended should have been the engines purchased by Walt Disney to start the Disneyland Railroad in California instead of building 2 entirely brand new locomotives to run it. These engines are practically new themselves. One only ran for 5 years, the next for 3 months, and the other was never even completed! That would also coincide with Disneys fairy tale story concepts perfectly! 3 engines which were unwanted, and left behind, Having never gotten to do the jobs they were meant to do, and then, years after the days of steam are over, a man takes them in, and has them give rides to kids!

Wayne County Board of Roads 0-4-0T No. 7Posted by: Matthew Gardner on Jul 9, 2020 @ 11:07:06
This engine I actually believe is what the founder of Boothbay Railway Village should have acquired for his first engine to open his little railway museum up in Maine rather than acquiring one of those German Well tank engines. This engine has only 5 years of service on it, and would have made a very attractive engine for him to run. Plus, Henry Ford sold the twin engine to this just 2 years prior, so he probably would have been willing to let go of this too, since it is not the proper gauge for his railroad.

Pickering Lumber Company Heisler - 3 truck No. 10Posted by: Matthew Gardner on Jul 9, 2020 @ 11:07:25
I honestly do not understand why Mt. Rainier Scenic never made this engine operational. They have made every other engine large enough for them to use which ever came into their possession operational, so why not this one?

JNR 2-4-0T No. 110Posted by: Yuki Taki on Jul 8, 2020 @ 22:07:40
Rare as they are, de-sectioning a once sectioned locomotive is not unheard of. C51239 at the Kyoto Railway Museum is also a sectioned loco that had been cosmetically restored. Under the cladding, her boiler and cylinders are still missing metal.

JNR 2-4-0T No. 110Posted by: ILFORD on Jul 8, 2020 @ 05:07:44
Loco built by YE 164 in 1871.

JNR 2-4-0T No. 110Posted by: Steve Frost, European Editor on Jul 7, 2020 @ 12:07:35
A rare case of a locomotive that has been de-sectioned. The two videos show the loco before reconstruction and after they returned it to complete external condition. I don't know of any other report of a sectioned loco being returned to complete condition.

British Aluminium Co. 0-4-2T No. 1 'Dromad'Posted by: Russell Newman on Jul 7, 2020 @ 10:07:18

Threlkeld Quarry & Mining Museum 0-4-0ST No. UnknownPosted by: Russell Newman on Jul 4, 2020 @ 09:07:31
There has been some more details about this locomotive being built from scratch at Threlkeld Quarry & Mining Museum. It is a replica of a Bagnall 0-4-0ST based on a 1900 built Bagnall named "Threlkeld" that was 2ft 4inch gauge that worked at Threlkeld Quarry. But this one is being built to 2ft gauge for use on their 2ft gauge railway and is likely to be named "Susan" when completed.

Kirby Lumber Co. Shay - 2 truck No. 65Posted by: Doug Bailey on Jul 4, 2020 @ 08:07:43
After chatting with a Coast Guard rep in Colfax, I was told that the locomotive was indeed sunk in the Red River, but that no one knows exactly where. No trace has been seen in recent decades.

Woodstock Railroad 4-4-0 No. 3Posted by: Doug Bailey on Jul 4, 2020 @ 06:07:33
Have not been able to determine the current status of this locomotive. It is reportedly still in the possession of Quechee Gorge Village, but the train ride is now pulled by a C.P. Huntington steam outline gas mechanical locomotive.
