The former Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Pug 0-4-0ST No. 19 is now located at the East Lancashire Railway at Bury in Lancashire where it is in their shed there being dismantled for a feasible study for it to be returned to steam again.

The sole surviving North Eastern Railway C Class or LNER J21 0-6-0 No. 65033 is undergoing quite a overhaul and rebuild as the locomotive is having new main frame plates made to replace the original ones along with a new inner copper firebox and a brand new tender and frames to be built.

The ex Metropolitan Railway 0-4-4T Met No. 1 has now been withdrawn from service and is now undergoing its 10 year overhaul.

The unique ex British Gas Light Co. and Brookfield Foundry Kerr Stuart & Co built "Witch" Class 0-4-0ST Works No. 4388 has been bought by its new owner Jack Dibnah son of the legendry Fred Dibnah. The locomotive is to be overhauled back into service with the aim of completing it in time for Christmas!

The ex Huta Ostrowiec Steelworks Polish TKh 0-6-0T No. 5374 is to be turned out in a unusual livery next year from completion of its overhaul next year as the locomotive will be painted in a Pink and Green livery to raise funds for the children’s charity Children’s Hospice South West and will carry the name "Lord Oliver Brown".

This former Great Central Railway 8K Class 2-8-0 No. 20 formerly Railway Operating Division (ROD) No. 1984 during military service did see service in the UK before she was shipped out to Australia for use at the Richmond Vale Railway. The 1918 built 2-8-0 was loaned to the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway and London North Western Railway during the period of November 1919 to August 1921 before before the locomotive sold to J&A Brown in New South Wales in Australia in 1925. No. 1984 along with her sister 8K No. 2003 which is J&A Brown No. 24 have been stored at the Dorrigo Steam Railway & Museum for a number of years now but are still maintained as along with the locos there there covered in oil to help protect their metal work. But could their be a possibility that both 8K’s could be repatriated back home to the UK one day as only time will tell?

It has been announced that both the National Railway Museum and 5305 Locomotive Association have agreed to overhaul ex Southern Railway N15 Class 4-6-0 No. 30777 "Sir Lamiel" back into steam and return her to the mainline again. The overhaul will be carried out at the Great Central Railway and with the aim of completing in 2023 and the locomotive will be turned out in BR Green livery with the early British Railways crests on the tender which will replace the current Southern Railway Malachite Green livery. Once the overhaul is finished a second five-year loan agreement will be negotiated with 5305 Locomotive Association and the National Railway Museum to enable "Sir Lamiel" to be based at the Great Central Railway and to begin mainline tours and a schedule of appearances at heritage railways across the UK.

The former Great Central Railway and Railway Operating Division (ROD) and J & A Brown 8K Class 2-8-0 No. 23 has since been reassembled and has been restored to its Railway Operating Division (ROD) black livery with her ROD number No. 2004. No. 2004 in now on static display at the Richmond Vale Railway Museum.

The ex LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47406 has been moved down the Great Central line to be relocated and placed undercover for display at the Mountsorrel Railway Museum at Rothley in Leicestershire till there is space at Loughborough shed for overhaul.
