This August will be the last time No. 6023 "King Edward II" will be in service as she is due to be withdrawn from service at the end of that month as her 10 boiler ticket is coming to its end. For the short term afterwards the locomotive will be on display at Didcot and will be a big part of the 60th anniversary celebrations of the formation of the Great Western Society in 2021. After that the Great Western Society will then look at funds available and how other projects are progressing in the workshop are progressing at Didcot and decide on the next chapter for this truly iconic locomotive.

It has been announced that a partnership has been formed between the Spa Valley Railway & Southern Locomotives Limited. This partnership means that Southern Locomotives Limited now has a permanent home in the South East of the UK as well as in the South West of the UK. As a result of this partnership No. 34053 "Sir Keith Park" will now take up permanent residence at the Spa Valley Railway at Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent as the first tender locomotive to be based at the railway and become part of the Spa Valley Railway’s home fleet of locomotives. No. 34053 will arrive at the railway from Mid-August 2020.

The former Great Western Railway ‘Large Prairie’ 2-6-2T No. 5164 has had a change in ownership as it has been announced that its previous owners the 5164 Preservation Group have transferred ownership of No. 5164 to the Erlestoke Manor Fund. Which will give the locomotive a brighter future with them and the Severn Valley Railway’s locomotive fleet. No. 5164 is to remain on display undercover at Barrow Hill Roundhouse for the present time till her time for her 10 year overhaul.

This locomotive is actually ex-T&NO 842, not 841. It operated at the Green Brothers gravel pit south of Franklinton, La and was moved when a new pit was opened north of Franklinton at Clifton, LA. The locomotive never operated at Clifton. The mistake in renumbering came when the engine was moved to Vaughn, MS.

This locomotive is not in Florida. It is currently in the hands of Bill Dundas owner of the Santa Rosa Valley Railroad in Carmillio, California.

A Volunteer at the museum says this locomotive is due for restoration soon. It was owned at one time by the woodland Museum Tourist Railroad, at Cooperstown, New York. TM

The sole surviving ex LNER D49 Class 4-4-0 No. 246 "Morayshire" is relocating to Locomotive Maintenance Services Ltd at Loughborough in Leicestershire for completion of her overhaul their which work on her boiler is already underway there which soon to be joined by the locomotive’s mainframe and tender.

2020 marks the 60th anniversary of the opening of the Bluebell Railway as one of the worlds first standard gauge preserved steam railways way back in 1960. Which former London, Brighton & South Coast Railway A1X Class Terrier 0-6-0T No. 55 "Stepney" was their very first steam locomotive bought for the Bluebell Railway way back then. "Stepney" is the flagship locomotive at the Bluebell and became more famous in the Reverend Wilbert Awdry’s Thomas The Tank Engine book "Stepney the Bluebell Engine". Now awaiting her next overhaul and rebuild "Stepney" along with her sister Terrier No. 672 "Fenchurch" will have a big part in the planned Steam Railway Magazine sponsored gathering all surviving Terrier locomotives in preservation to mark the 150th anniversary of the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway A1 and A1X Class Terrier 0-6-0T in 2022.

The primary photo shows the loco's original boiler which is displayed at Fladungen station. The video shows the loco in action in 2020 and there are older photos of it in the album.

1293 was also in the documentary made by Rail Productions called "Steam in the Summer" as the 5th Segment out of 6 segments. In 2012, 1293 participated in the steam in the valley event at the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. She was also seen in the 2nd ohio central segment of Steam in the Autumn. She double headed with 6325 at the end of the second Ohio Central Segment in steam in the autumn.

1278 did not have a ripped crown sheet and she did not have a fire box explosion. 1278 suffered a Backdraft explosion in 1995 heading back to gettysburg from Mt Holly Spring Pennsylvania. She is currently being Cosmetically Restored at The Ohio Central Age Of Steam Roundhouse Shops in Sugarcreek Ohio.

Sorry but No. 53808 has been relocated to the Mid-Hants Railway at Alresford in Hampshire not the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre sorry.

As part of the planned Steam Railway Magazine sponsored gathering all surviving Terrier locomotives in preservation to mark the 150th anniversary of the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway A1 and A1X Class Terrier 0-6-0T in 2022 planned to take place at Barrow Hill Roundhouse. The Isle of Wight Steam Railway has agreed in principle for its pair of A1X Class Terrier locomotives W11 "Newport" and W8 "Freshwater" to take part in the gathering then.

The former Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway 7F Class 2-8-0 No. 53808 will be leaving the West Somerset Railway aa it is being relocated to the Mid-Hants Railway at Alresford in Hampshire where the locomotive will remain for the remainder of its boiler ticket which runs out in 2022.
