Yes it had a new boiler fitted at Meiningen.

From June 1998 to October 1999 the loco was present at Meiningen. In 2019 the loco went on loan to the Rhön-Zügle Museum Railway where it is presently located.

Originally Bayerische Staatsbahn No. 2636, it then became DRG No. 98 886 and has remained in that guise ever since, latterly with DB. It was first kept at Bw Schweinfurt, then displayed in the city from 1975 to 1996. In latter years it appears to have been through Aw Meiningen ?

The primary photo shows the loco's original boiler which is displayed at Fladungen station. The video shows the loco in action in 2020 and there are older photos of it in the album.
