PKTM 0-6-2T No. 321.01 (26) (13)Posted by: Stephen Frost (European Editor) on Aug 4, 2020 @ 12:08:51
The only survivor of an order for five locos to the specifications of AWS Graeme, Chief Mechanical Engineer of the Federated Malay States Railways. The locos were used for dock shunting at Port Swettenham and Singapore which is where most spent their careers. By 1966 all had been withdrawn, but 321.01 was sold to Pan Malayan Cement for its works at Ipoh. It worked there until 1970 when it was donated to Malayan Railways who cosmetically restored it for display.

The five locos were known as Class T. This loco's running number as supplied by Bagnalls was 26, being re-numbered to 13 in 1929 and again in 1946 to 321.01, the number it continued to carry when working at the cement works. Originally coal fired, it was converted to oil firing in 1962.
