Originally BASF, Ludwigshafen No. 60 which was, from 1959 RBW (Rheine Brown Coal), Neurath No. 6 and later No. 327, until 1969 when transferred to their future brick factory in Weisweiler, being withdrawn in 1971. It was preserved and in 1973 placed on display in Schlieren, Switzerland. However, in 1981 it was purchased privately by a Herr Rueesch of Arth-Goldau where it was later named “MUNI 327”. It became the property of Society ‘Muni’ in 2004. Etzwilen is in the Thurgau canton of Switzerland, north of Bern.

Originally KPEV Hanover Division No. 2591 which became DRG No. 38 3711 upon their creation 1925-1937 then, in that latter year the original DRB through the Military Administration of the SBZ, and from 1948 with the newly created DB who, with computerisation, gave it number 038 711-8 until it was withdrawn during 1974 and placed at Garbsen-Berenbostel.

Following its visit to the Mid Hants Railway or the Watercress Line as it is known ex GWR 28XX class 2-8-0 No. 2857 will visit the West Somerset Railway for their Spring Steam Gala from the 5th to 8th of May 2022.

This is one, No. 20, of two dozen steam locomotives (11 of which were 0-8-0T, the remainder all 0-4-0T) supplied by this builder to the Malang Stoomtram Maatschappij, later the PJKA who re-numbered it as D 1107. It has been at Jakarta Museum since at least 2008.

Originally built for LK at Bremen Industrial Haven, in 1955, it went to Badische Anilin und Sodafabrik (BASF), Ludwigshafen, later Aral AG who then gave the locomotive the name “OMA” and No. 6015 until it was retired in 1975 and preserved, from 1989, by the DGEG as “OMA” at Neustadt/W.

According to site visitor Pablo Higuita: "Current condition: abandoned where Bello station was, last light up in 2006, very rusted and damaged." The locomotive is currently owned by Municipio de Medellín

Sud Zucker Regensburg 3 is a 0-6-0T built Hanomag 10672 1931 which in 2019 was preserved at Adorf, EBA in Old roundhouse. You show this loco at Arnstadt. Both places are in Thuringen. Could be one and same.

The owning group dissolved in the early years of this century. It was scrapped in March 2011.

Reported in the May 2022 edition No. 315 of Today’s Railways-Europe (albeit with an incorrect build number!) as Brian states, as being at Kocevje now under a protective canopy.

Whilst I know nothing of this loco, There is a place called Straussfurt in Thuringia, so I will leave well alone for now.

Is this not a 2-8-2T ? Originally supplied to the Hannover Division of KPEV which, in 1925 became DRG No. 93 526 through to the original DRB 1937- 1945, then the Military Administration of SBZ until 1948. It joined the newly created DB in 1949 though to being withdrawn at the end of 1968. It was ‘saved’ in 1976 for the DDM.

The 4-6-4 is still on site, but was severely damaged in a fire that destroyed the engine house. Its future is uncertain.

This was at BASF until 1981 and, from 1996 to the Railway Society at Röbel as No. 6.

From 1957 this was at the city gas works, Nürnberg, later EWAG No. 5. It went to the BEM in 1992.

Additionally 1988-1993 it was on display for the ÖGEG at the Restplatz on the A1 Westautoahn, to the south-west of St Pölten.

I suspect this may be Hohenzollern 3649/1917 which was Elektro Werk Mark, Hagen-Herdecke No. 3 until 1959. In 1968 it was plinthed in a playground off Hengsteyseestraße, Herdecke bei Hagen until 2000 when, the following year it went to the HE Dresden at nearby Bw Noßen. However it was noted at MaLoW Werkstatt, Klostermansfeld, 06308 Benndorf, in 2008 but is now probably cut-up.

Brothers Böhler Steelworks, Düsseldorf. Later placed on display outside the premises of Hegenscheidt MFD, 41812 Erkelenz as No. 1 in 1991, and where it still was in 2010.

Produced for Brothers Böhler of Düsseldorf-Oberkassel in gauge 750mm. In 1971 it went to the DKMB naming it “MÖLM 1” and who, the following year, reduced the gauge to 600mm. In 1999 it went to the Arge Muttenthalbahn, Witten, where it was in 2004.

Previously Bayer No. 35, then No. 22. It was deposited, in 1971, at the Museum for Verkehr & Technik, Berlin as “SALOPHEN 22” until 1988 and, in 1992, returned to Bayer for eventual display at their own museum, achieved in 1993 in Leverkusen.

This was previously Zeche (Colliery) Consolidation, Gelsenkirchen “UNSER FRITZ”, originally ordered for Colliery Unser Fritz, Herne Wanne-Eickel. The company later became Ruhr Coal AG; the locomotive later working at Gelsenkirchen-Bulmke as No. D-512 until 1972. It went to the WIM in 1975.

In 1960 it became Raschig GmbH, Ludwigshafen “MONIKA” and has been on display in Sinsheim since 1996.

A slight amendment to my 2021 posting. It became DRG 1925-1937, then the original DRB when created in that latter year through to joining the PKP in 1945.

From FK, Essen (where I have no record of it ever being numbered) the locomotive moved, in 1922 to Papierfabrik Fürst zu Fürstenberg, Titisee-Neustadt as their No. 2 and working until 1983. It was then plinthed in the company’s car-park for display, where it still was in 2010.

Originally supplied to the KPEV in the Berlin Division as their No. 8470, it became, in 1925 and on creation of the DRG, No. 74 1192, and from 1937-1945 in the same identity with the succeeding DRB and 1945-1949 with the SBZ Military Administration. In the latter year it was in that identity with the newly created DR, working for them exclusively until retirement in 1966. A year later it was working again at a industrial railway in Erfurt as No. 3 before , in 1977, joining the DGEG in Bochum-Dahlhausen. It has never worked, or been the property, of the now DB.
