The former Tongaat Sugar, Natal Bagnall built 4-4-0T Works No. 2819 "Charles Wytock" has been renamed to "Sir George Newnes" and is in the last stages of its overhaul and it hoped to be in service at the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway in 2024.

The 1987 TMA Engineering built scaled down 15inch gauge version of BR Standard 7MT Pacific No. 70000 "Britannia" has been sold to Jeremy Hosking (owner of the full size No. 70000), and has now left the Conwy Valley Railway Museum and has relocated for display at the One:One Collection (Locomotive Storage Ltd.) at Margate in Kent, where the 15inch gauge version of No. 70000 "Britannia" will be displayed in the foyer of the Museum there.

The Cherepanov steam locomotive was the first steam locomotive built in Russia. Yefim and Miron Cherepanov built the locomotive in 1833-34 at the Vyjsky factory. She drove from a factory in Nizhny Tagil to a nearby copper mine. The line built to complement the locomotive was the first steam railway in Russia. A second and improved locomotive of this type was built and was sent to Saint Petersburg in 1835. This replica was built in 1949 by employees of the "Uslovaya" locomotive repair plant. Worked in the Pobeda (Verkhny Lomov) match factory, after which it was used as a steam generator. The monument has stood in Nizhny Lomow since 1985. Exact location: 53.51850019166018, 43.677554953803536

I saw this locomotive just recently. It looks to now be apart of a Chemung Canal Trust Company bank. The other post was saying it was in a state of disrepair. It appears to have only gotten worse in the past 4 years. Broken glass, bent cab handles, rusted through tank, graffiti, and the cab and firebox were filed with trash. Clearly whoever is in possession of the locomotive doesn’t take care of it, it’s a real shame…

Manufacturer: Kharkov Comintern Locomotive Plant Year of construction: 1931 Decommissioned: 1987 Delivered to the Glubokaya depot. Moved to the Tashkent depot in the late 1930s. Registered on the Far Eastern Railway in 1942. 1943 Karaganda Railway. From 1945 Tomsk Railway. Transferred to the Krasnoyarsk Railway in the late 40s, then back to the Tomsk Railway.
