The ES&NA has no plans to restore this engine. There is only one person left at the place from when steam operations were still going, and according to him, the engine needs a whole new boiler to run again. They also have no intention at this point of putting it back together either. They actually use the cab as a shed for some of their garden tools.

The new-build GWR Grange Class 4-6-0 No. 6880 "Betton Grange", now has a home at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway at Toddington, Gloucestershire as a deal has been struck between the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway and the Betton Grange Locomotive Society which will see No. 6880 based at the railway for the foreseeable future. No. 6880 will arrive at its new base in February 2025 after appearing at the Great Central Railway for their Winter Steam Gala during January.

The ex Great Northern Railway (LNER) N2 0-6-2T No. 1744, has now left Northern Steam Engineering Limited, and has relocated back home to the North Norfolk Railway at Sheringham in Norfolk, East Anglia, for its final stages and completion of its overhaul in readiness for its return to traffic in the spring of 2025.

The CP 1201 is stored in the Ingenium collection. The CP 1201 was moved to the new ingenium building in 2019. The last time CP was operational was in 1990, she is in storage since then.

The new-build LMS Patriot 4-6-0 No. 5551 "The Unknown Warrior", has been moved inside the main erecting shop at Tyseley Locomotive Works for what will be its final build position for its construction. The move inside the main works will allow reassembly of "The Unknown Warrior" to begin in earnest. The move inside the works had been delayed due to waiting for a slot in the busy workshop to become available. Drilling of the frames for the spring hanger brackets can now be finished. The cylinders are due to have new valve liners fitted. And the wheelsets have now been machined ready for pressing onto the axles.

The photo clearly shows the number 7 on the loco which suggests that it is a photo of Orenstein & Koppel 11789 not 5335.

I saw this locomotive in 2018 and confirm the gauge is 24". I noted the location details as Petting Farm, Blue Moon French Cheese Co. Display. It appeared to be a homebuilt loco but no other information was available.

The photo attached to this record is not that of an E type 0-10-0. It is a an O (possibly Ov or Od) 0-8-0. Can the photo be removed please?

After 48 years at the Nene Valley Railway, the ex Southern Railway Bulleid Battle of Britain Class Light Pacific No. 34081 "92 Squadron", has now left the railway and has relocated to its new home at the East Lancashire Railway at Bury in Lancashire. Where after inspection will be making her debut at her new home on their Santa Specials for the remainder of the Christmas season.

The ex GWR Large Prairie 2-6-2T No. 4144, will be going on another visit to the Nene Valley Railway for 2025, where it will be their main steam locomotive for the season from April to September and will also be available for their popular Driving Experience Courses as well.

The operating status of the No. 3 in unknown after the construction of the new Ingenium building and the removal of a part of the tracks. She is presumably in storage in the Ingenium collection along the CP 1201.

The ex GWR Large Prairie 2-6-2T No. 4141, has been fitted with brand new side tanks as part of its overhaul which is now in the final stages as its hoped the locomotive will return to traffic at the Epping Ongar Railway in 2025.

Does anyone know anything about this locomotive? Where did it used to run? Is it a true 2-foot gauge loco, or is it a miniature version of a bigger standard gauge loco?

to people saying it is the worst fate to have a diesel tender, it is a much better fate than being scrapped. It is also unique, and moving at the museum is better than being on static display

locomotive sits in storage at prancers farm in santa paula. According to the Division manager, they want to restore it and operate it. This would be far in the future, at least 2028 if I had to guess

According to International Steam it was built in 1950 and plinthed on roadside between Poti to Samtredia near Shoripani in Zestaponi municipality.

The restoration of former Cortaulds Ltd, Sentinel (Shrewsbury) Ltd. built 4wVBGT Works No. 9596 "George", has been located at M Mayes ex railway yard at Yaxham in Norfolk, on the Mid Norfolk Railway and next to the Yaxham Light Railway, where it has been under restoration there for a while.
