ILFORD reports that until recently this locomotive had not been noted since October 2005. It is not unknown, however, for locos to reappear and this seems to be such a case as we formerly had it marked as lost. It was reported to be at the Shushary Museum Store in 2021.

The ex NCB Kinneil Colliery Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST (Works No. 2157) No. 47 "Fambridge" new owners are the Bristol & Somerset Locomotive Company Limited and the loaction of the locomotive is in Somerset as its overhaul is now underway.

News has come that the sole surviving former LNER K4 Class 2-6-0 Mogul No. 61994 "The Great Marquess" will be leaving the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway soon and relocating to her owner John Camron’s farm at Balbuthie in Fife, Scotland for display as planning permission for his Railway and Farming Visitor Centre has been given the go ahead. Having been withdrawn from service in 2017 after working her last trains at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway then, No. 61994 will join ex LNER A4 Pacific No. 60009 "Union of South Africa" on display in an adapted barn at Balbuthie in Fife, Scotland, where both ex LNER locomotives will still be accessed by members of the public still.

News has come that former LNER A4 Pacific No. 60009 "Union of South Africa" will be leaving the East Lancashire Railway soon and relocating to her owner John Camron’s farm at Balbuthie in Fife, Scotland for display as planning permission for his Railway and Farming Visitor Centre has been given the go ahead. Before this Number 9 will be repainted along with some cosmetic work carried before she is moved to her new home in Fife, Scotland and it is planned to be on display with a 1938 built ex LNER Gresley built Restaurant Brake Coach No. 1852 there from the Gresley Society which John Camron is the president of.

The ex LMS Black Five 4-6-0 No. 44871 will be heading South of the UK to work the luxry Bellmont Pullman trains out of London over the Christmas season this winter as well as three mainline Christmas railtours for the Railway Touring Company then too.

The ex Southern Railway Bulleid Battle of Britain Class Light Pacific No. 34067 "Tangmere" will be heading South of the UK this winter to take up dutys working the luxry Belmont Pullman Trains out of London for a few weeks while No. 35028 "Clan Line" is having repairs carried out.

The ex Blackpool Gasworks Peckett built 0-4-0ST No. 1 (Works No. 2111) "Lytham St. Annes" has been the first standard gauge steam locomotive trialing a sustainable coal alternative as it has been fired on rapeseed briquettes and has had some very possitve results.

The restoration on the former LMS Black Five 4-6-0 No. 45491 is slowly progressing but now requires a new smokebox tubeplate after a problem was found in the paperwork passing it fit for use. The current tubeplate was removed and all the boiler tubes have had to come out in order for this work to be carried out.

The ex GWR 2800 Class 2-8-0 No. 2807 has been at Riley & Son Engineering Ltd. at Heywood in Lancashire, where the locomotive was reunited with its newly overhauled boiler and firebox. Which work has seen a brand new front section of the boiler barrel fitted along with a brand new smokebox and front tube plate. No. 2807 is now back at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway for its final stages of its overhaul and is expected back into service again from Easter 2023.

The ex London, Brighton & South Coast Railway A1X Class Terrier 0-6-0T No. 2678 "Knowle" has sadly had to be withdrawn from service due to a number of concerns and problems and may have to be re-overhauled to fix these problems.

Now back operational at the Great Central Railway, BR Standard 2MT 2-6-0 No. 78019 has had some changes added during her overhaul as the locomotive has been fitted with a Kylchap blastpipe to improve her performence along with a Chime whistle fitted.

For the first time ever the sole surviving ex Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway "radial" 2-4-2T No. 1008 will be leaving the National Railway Museum in York to go on loan to the East Lancashire Railway to be on display in the Bury Transport Museum there, but no date has been set when the locomotive will arrive yet. But the East Lancashire Railway plans to have No. 1008 in a line-up of all six surviving Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway steam locomotives in preservation in early 2023.

In 2023, the ex Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Class 21 Pug 0-4-0ST No. 19 (No. 51241) will be visiting the Bluebell Railway for the first time to star at their Branch Line Weekend from the 21st to 23rd of April 2023.

The ex GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 No. 7029 "Clun Castle" will be working a special double-headed railtour with sister GWR Castle 4-6-0 No. 5043 "Earl of Mount Edgecumbe" from Tyseley to Didcot on the 4th of March 2023 to visit Didcot Railway Centre for a special line-up of four Great Western Railway Castle Class locomotives together then.

2023 will mark the 100 anniversary of the formation of the Big Four Railway Companys of the UK in 1923. As part of this on March the 4th 2023, the famous ex GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 No. 4079 "Pendennis Castle" will be part of a Special Event at Didcot that will see a line-up of four Great Western Railway Castle Class locomotives together, as No. 4079 will be re-united with sister GWR Castle No. 7029 "Clun Castle" from Tyseley Locomotive works for the first time since 1967. As well as No. 7029 "Clun Castle", No. 4079 "Pendennis Castle" will also be joined by the freshly overhauled No. 5043 "Earl of Mount Edgcumbe" and Didcot based No. 5051 "Drysllwyn Castle"/"Earl Bathurst" for the line-up then. In return No. 4079 "Pendennis Castle" will visit Tyseley Locomotive works for a open day event in 2023.

Also No. 1 when employed at Frankfurt (Main) Gasworks. At the end of 1971 it was redeployed to Auto-Dienst West, Bergen-Enkheim and in 1979 was dusplayed outside Matschke Models, Wuppertal-Barmen. After two decades, in 1999 it joined the Prignitzer Eisenbahn Gesellschaft (PEG). Current location ?

only in 1950 did this go to the ØSJS as their No. 7, moving in 1969 to the HgJK in Helsingør and working until 1982. During 1988 it was stored in Odense then later displayed at Gilleje railway station and where it was in 2004.

Originally E Dellatre et Cie, Ferrière-la-Grande, France that later went to Soc. Hyd. of Bar-le-Due and, in 1973, to MPTUR. In 1980 it was displayed in Miramas, Bouches-du-Rhône, France and was still there in 2004.

Previously Minho e Douro No. 454 from new, that only became CP No. E-204 from 1947. It was in service for the latter until 1978 then went for storage- in 2006 it was still in Regua - before reaching Torredeita Station, Viseu, Portugal.

Previously Minho e Douro No. 453 from new, that only became CP No. E-203 from 1947. It was in service for the latter until 1978 then went for storage, before reaching the Chaves Museum.
