Essener Steinkohlenbergwerke 0-6-0T No. VIPosted by: Dalev on Dec 23, 2022 @ 08:12:34
My notes made on 23 December actually do refer to Henschel 20142/1923 (the details of which I have yet to find on this site that became No. VI and is recorded as beingi extant as well as Henschel & Sohn 10243/1923 which apparently is still in existence as No, VIi, hence the mis-interpretation of D (Germany) and VIi (7) that entered service,, also with employer,Essener Steinkohlenbergwerke AG, Essen, Germany as PÖRTINGSSIEPEN VII that, was used at the United Pörtingssiepen colliery, Essen-Fischlake. It became, GBAG - Gelsenkirchener Bergbau AG, Essen and in 1933 Essener Steinkohlebergwerke AG, Essen, and in 1970 RAG - Ruhrkohle AG, Essen being stored and taken out of service in 1971. In 1972 it went to MEC Essen - Model Railway Club Essen & Surroundings e. V., Essen, with deployment at DGEG - German Society for Railway History e. V., Werl for Museum Bochum-Dahlhausen . In 1974 to Wilhelm Waggonbau GmbH, Recklinghausen-Suderwich for scrap but in 11/1993 to VEH - Association for the Preservation of the Hespertalbahn e. V., Essen-Kupferdreh. Since delivery it has retained its unique identity as PÖRTINGSSIEPEN VII.
