Steam Locomotive Information

Originally delivered to the National Railways of Portugal - Minho e Douro No. 465 that, from 1947 joined the CP as No. E215. Upon cessation of steam it was based in Peso da Régua but has more recently been moved to Mallorca, Spain for restoration.

The locomotive is currently under restoration in a workshop outside the now closed Son Carrió station, on the former Arta line, to the west of Manacor to where the existing line still retains a service from Palma. The building will, eventually become the Mallorca Historical Train Museum (planned for 2020) with financial assistance from the IB government, some may also aspire to relaying 4 km of the line (the land being owned by SFM) between here and another restored station, Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, converting back from a relatively well used cycle route may prove more difficult than its closure back in 1977!

This locomotive has been buyed the AAFB (Asociacion de Amigos del Ferrocarril de Baleares) and it has moved to Mallorca (Spain). http://www.aafb.net/La-CP-E215-ja-esta-de-cami
