My notes made on 23 December actually do refer to Henschel 20142/1923 (the details of which I have yet to find on this site that became No. VI and is recorded as beingi extant as well as Henschel & Sohn 10243/1923 which apparently is still in existence as No, VIi, hence the mis-interpretation of D (Germany) and VIi (7) that entered service,, also with employer,Essener Steinkohlenbergwerke AG, Essen, Germany as PÖRTINGSSIEPEN VII that, was used at the United Pörtingssiepen colliery, Essen-Fischlake. It became, GBAG - Gelsenkirchener Bergbau AG, Essen and in 1933 Essener Steinkohlebergwerke AG, Essen, and in 1970 RAG - Ruhrkohle AG, Essen being stored and taken out of service in 1971. In 1972 it went to MEC Essen - Model Railway Club Essen & Surroundings e. V., Essen, with deployment at DGEG - German Society for Railway History e. V., Werl for Museum Bochum-Dahlhausen . In 1974 to Wilhelm Waggonbau GmbH, Recklinghausen-Suderwich for scrap but in 11/1993 to VEH - Association for the Preservation of the Hespertalbahn e. V., Essen-Kupferdreh. Since delivery it has retained its unique identity as PÖRTINGSSIEPEN VII.

I have no indication of this ever being VEH or D7 identity, possibly misread paint on locomotive ?

I have this as Henschel & Sohn 20142/1923 (NOT 43, though, of course my info may be incorrect ?). Delivery to Essener Steinkohlenbergwerke AG, Essen, Germany as PÖRTINGSSIEPENI VI lthat was used at the United Pörtingssiepen colliery, Essen-Fischlaken until 05/1930 when it went to Gelsenkirchener Bergbau AG, Essen, and then in 11/1933 to Essener Steinkohlebergwerke AG. From 01/1970 it was with RAG - Ruhrkohle AG, Essen and decommissioned in November 1971 prior to being plinthed in 08/1972 as a monument, RAG - Ruhrkohle AG, colliery railway and port operations Ruhr-Mitte, Gladbeck, (then) West Germany, and being owned by asucession of subsequent company owners before, in 2008, being purchased privately by Jens Kürvers, Essen-Heisingen who found storage at SHEPN - Foundation for Historical Railway Park Lower Rhine, Moers-iRheinkamp. On December 22nd, 202O, following shutdown at HTB - Hespertalbahn e. V., Essen-Kupferdreh, the locomotive that has retained its original identity since delivery, now continues to be refurbished in parts and then be re-assembled.
