After the war Jangdan was in the demilitarized zone and the remains of the locomotive remained there until 2004. They were taken away on September 22 2004 and put on display at the current location June 25 2009. (The engineer in 1950 remained in engine service until 1985 and lived to see the remains being put on display)

British Railways 2-6-0 No. 62005Posted by: Russell Newman on Oct 4, 2024 @ 12:10:25
The overhaul on ex LNER K1 Class 2-6-0 No. 62005, is nearing the final stages of completion at Carnforth which is due in 2025, although the overhaul is being done to mainline standards No. 62005 will not be operating the Jacobite Trains on the West Highland line in Scotland for a while now, given the current situation with central door locking not being fitted to West Coast Railway Company’s fleet of Mk1 Carriages. So instead it looks as if No. 62005 will be returning to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for possible work there as well as their mainline operations on Network Rail’s Esk Valley Line, and will also be made more available for visits to other preserved heritage railways around the UK, as its been rumored that No. 62005 could be visiting the Severn Valley Railway in 2025??

United States Army 0-6-0 No. 4039Posted by: Steve Hepler on Oct 3, 2024 @ 18:10:42
Posted: Jul 30, 2024 @ 15:07:23 by Matthew Gardner "Is not under restoration any longer. Was the victim of a lot of mismanagement due to too many contractors involved in the restoration, and many parts were lost. Including the original boiler, which needed to be replaced. It cannot even be made into a display piece at this time." In reply to the above quote... this is NOT true. While progress has been terribly slow, the restoration continues, and work on the new boiler is nearly complete. NO parts have been lost. Whoever wrote the above quote does not represent the Museum and has no first-hand info. Steve Hepler, Whippany Railway Museum

These two were built in the late 1840s-early 1850s by Seth Wilmarth and Co up in Massachusetts for service on the Cumberland Valley. The History channel did a segment on the two in the early 2000s, but I am not sure if it was ever released. I have obtained a DVD copy from the Long Beach Island (NJ) diving museum.
