This is infact a locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works (the year Benard was built is unknown, but it mostly likely would have been built around 1890-1904) This locomotive was retired scrapped some time around the 1950s-1990s (the exact date is unknown, but the locomotive was scrapped).

Long, long ago S15 No.841 ran in Southern Railway black paintwork before its final withdrawal and dismantling, donating its boiler to 825. See my photo of the loco when it was operational on the NYMR.

Agreed! The old engineer's statement that "If it looks right, it probably is right" applies. The photo doesn't look right so it probably isn't right. I will remove it.

The photo is not A.I, this locomotive did look like this. Also this locomotive is a 2-4-0ST+T locomotive and not a standard 2-4-0 locomotive.

Yes, the Usina Barcelos 2-4-0 No. 3 this engine is now operational at the E.F Fazenda Mato Alto. It is only operational Baldwin 2-4-0 locomotive as of right now. The Maddox Foundry & Machine Works No. 3 is another Baldwin 2-4-0 planned to return to steam.
