One of ten steam locomotives built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns Ltd to a design of the YB class for Indian Railways. Acquired by museum 1973. The museum has kept this loco operational. It was used on rail tours until the museum was isolated from the rail network.

Tasmanian Transport Museum is at Glenorchy, 9 km north of Hobart. It has a varied collection of transport vehicles which include 7 steam locos. All steam locos have been beautifully restored for display and 2 of them made operational. Until recently they ran steam tours from the museum on the main line, which ran past the museum site. Unfortunately the railway terminus in Hobart has been closed and the marshalling yards being redeveloped. A new freight yard has opened outside of Hobart. This closed 20 km railway into Hobart isolating the museum. Once a month a steam loco still operates rides on the museum track. Lots to see, staff friendly. Open weekend afternoons
