Having worked its final shuttle rides over the bank holiday weekends at the NRMs Locomotion Museum. Furness Railway No. 20 one of the worlds oldest working steam locomotives has been withdrawn from service and has returned the Furness Railway trust base at the Ribble Steam Railway at Preston in Lancashire to under go its 10 year overhaul.

The locomotive was present inside the museum of the Ribble Steam Railway on 04 October 2015.

By August 2015 this locomotive had been removed from Mlawa Wask, cosmetically restored and displayed in a small park area alongside the road outside Ostroleka Dworc (Station), approximately 60 miles to the east.

Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 3193 now named "Norfolk Regiment" was on display at Bressingham Steam Museum over the Bank Holiday weekend in its new WD paint work. No. 3193 will stay at Bressingham for running in before it moves elsewhere.

This loco is no longer on a plinth at the station but stands in a siding opposite the station.

Over in Belgium Hunslet Built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 196 "Errol Lonsdale" is on its travels as the locomotive is visiting Stoomtrein Goes-Borsele as its one of several visiting locomotives taking part in there steam festival next weekend.

The loco was originally delivered to the Muskau Forest Railway (Waldeisenbahn Muskau) without a tender, it got its tender in the 1930s, but still can be used without a tender. In 1969 it was sold to the Cottbus Park Railway and was in use for about 40 years, its out of use since 2008 because need for a major overhaul.

No. 30072 current location is the Ribble Steam Railway at Preston in Lancashire where it has been since 2015 and its status should say overhaul.

I was there when this engine was put in place at Washington park. When set down the first time it sunk. I played on it for years and we even found a way into the firebox until it was welded up. Somewhere I have a picture of me standing next to it with my dad and brother. I lived on Caroline and Taylor, just 3 blocks away.

No. 34092 "City of Wells" has been added to the line up of visiting locomotives to take part in the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway s 8 week 50th anniversary gala from June 24th to July 1st 2018. The Bulleid Light Pacific was restored there in the 1980s and this will be its last visit there under its current owners who life long and KWVR founding Members before the locomotive is sold to the East Lancashire Railway. When sold to the East Lancashire Railway 34092 will still visit other preserved railways around the UK more.

GWR Small Prairie Tank No. 5542 is going on loan to the Battlefield Line Railway at Shackerstone in Leicestershire for the rest of the year there.

The former NCB, North Gawber Colliery Hudswell Clarke built 0-6-0T No. 1857 is in the last stages of its restoration as work is now being turned to the boiler. It could possibly steam for the first time in 2019?

After repairs to the axles and bearings No. 73156 is now back on its wheels again and is available for traffic again at the Great Central Railway.

No. 34027 status should say that its Operational. As the locomotive is running well at the Severn Valley Railway since 2015. To note the locomotive still has its airbrakes still for hauling visiting mainline charter trains that visit the Severn Valley Railway every year or to haul airbrake stock when visiting other preserved railways around the UK.

By all of the research I have done on the internet, this engine was used to film the train scenes in the movie "The Wild Bunch" featuring William Holden and Ernest Borgnine and many others. Directed by Sam Peckinpah. Movie came out around 1967 to 1969.

No. 34046 "Braunton" made its first mainline run this year on Locomotive Services' second railtour today over the Welsh Marches but was still running as long lost rebuilt Bulleid Battle of Britain Class Light Pacific No. 34052 "Lord Dowding". It is unknown for how long the loco will stay in this current guise.

There has been a discovery that former Birchenwood Gas & Coke Works Peckett built 0-6-0ST No. 5 is under restoration at the Flour Mill Works at Bream in Gloucestershire.

Former South of Scotland Electricity Co. Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST No. 705 has returned to traffic at the Plym Valley Railway following completion of its overhaul. Now the main stay of steam on the line No. 705 has been painted in GWR Green livery it wore at the East Somerset Railway during its last stint in steam.

D&RGW 315 is for now, on loan to the Cumbres & Toltec RR, and stored in Chama, NM. The C&TS expects to use the engine for next season.

Former Central Electricity Generating Board Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn built 0-4-0ST No. 15 "Eustace Forth" will be going on loan to the NRMs Locomotion Museum at Shildon in Durham for steam rides there for the rest of the season as it will replace Furness Railway No. 20 which is due to be withdrawn for overhaul.

The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway s 2-8-2 "River Mite" is to be the star visiting locomotive at the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway in Kent for there Steam and Diesel Gala on the weekend of May 12th to 13th 2018.

GWR 2884 Class 2-8-0 No. 3814 will be leaving the North Yorkshire Moors Railway as it is moving to the Llangollen Railway in Wales for completion of its restoration to running order. Its tender is already there and fully restored and will be used for a hire period behind built GWR Grange 4-6-0 No. 6880 "Betton Grange" when the locomotive is completed later this year or early 2019.

The Beet family s LMS Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 No. 46441 has left the Ribble Steam Railway where it has been on display since 2002 and relocated to the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway. The locomotive arrived there on the 16th of April 2018 where it will be overhauled back in to service and based there as part of there steam running fleet.

No. 7714 has just been added to the line up of visiting locomotives that are taking part in the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway s 8 week 50th anniversary gala from June 24th to July 1st 2018.
