BR Standard 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73156, will be visiting the Mid-Hants Railway (Watercress Line) for the first time for their upcoming Spring Steam Gala from the 24th to 26th of April 2026. The visit of No. 73156 will bring some memories of when sister Mid Hants based BR Standard 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73096 was operational along the line in the 1990s and 2000s.

BR Standard 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73156 will visit the Bluebell Railway for their Giants of Steam from the 14th to 16th of October 2022. Where it will be paired up with sister BR Standard 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73082 "Camelot" which will be a first to see two BR Standard 5MT locomotives in steam together in preservation then.

BR Standard 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73156 will visit the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for the first time as part of their Annual Steam Gala from the 22nd to 25th of September 2022.

BR Standard 5MT 4-6-0 No. 73156 will be making its first ever visit to the Swanage Railway for their Autumn Steam Gala on October 11th to 13th 2019.

After repairs to the axles and bearings No. 73156 is now back on its wheels again and is available for traffic again at the Great Central Railway.

No. 73156 s restoration from a Barry Scrapyard wreck is now all completed. The locomotive is currently undergoing test runs before it makes it debut in to traffic at the Great Central Railway s Autumn Steam Gala.

New build BR1B tender, mainly all new motion, new tyres throughout and most fittings and piping all new.

No. 73156 is nearing the end of its 31 year restoration as it will be in steam at the Great Central Railway later this year.
