After some setbacks and problems ironed out LMS Jubilee Class 4-6-0 No. 45596 "Bahamas" passed its loaded mainline test run yesterday with flying colours. No. 45596 is to return home to the Bahamas Locomotive Society base at Ingrow on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway ready its season out on the mainline and heritage railway circuit onwards.

The reason for 8572 visit to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway being cancelled was down to transportation problems in bringing the locomotive there and back.

FSDL No. 76 was built in 1940 by Ceskomoravská-Kolben-Danek as a narrow gauge 0-4-0T. She fires on oil, and proudly runs at Silver Dollar City along with no. 504, no. 14, and no. 43.

Locomotive was recently bought back by the city of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and is in danger of returning there.

There is a common misconception regarding the Queen and her sisters that says that they were initially built to meter-gauge and destined for Iran, And instead being sent for Alaska and being converted to 3 ft. Gauge. THIS IS NOT TRUE. 190 and her sisters were always destined for Alaska. This is further disproved by the fact that Iran has no narrow gauge rails, only Standard Gauge.

Sadly 1450 has been pulled out of the line up at the Spring Steam Gala at the Severn Valley Railway as the locomotive is undergoing repair work then.

LNER A4 Pacific No. 60007 "Sir Nigel Gresley" is to be operated out on the mainline with Crewe based Locomotive Services Ltd when she returns to the mainline under a 10 year deal between its owner the Sir Nigel Gresley Locomotive Trust and the Royal Scot Locomotive & General Trust. This will see 60007 out on the mainline more hauling railtours for Saphos Trains and visits to other preserved railways around the UK will also be considered. When not on the mainline or visiting other heritage lines No. 60007 will also be at work on its long term home the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. This deal will guarantee the A4s long-term future as a mainline performer. The locomotive is due back in service later this year or 2020.

The locomotive was purchased by a private individual who moved it to his farm just east of Uxbridge, Ontario in late 2018.

No. 61306 "Mayflower" is set for its public mainline debut after overhaul this weekend on the 2nd of February. As the B1 could be working double heading with Merchant Navy Class Pacific No. 35018 "British India Line" on the Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express between Carnforth and Preston via Carlisle and the Settle and Carlisle Railway. If 61306 is ready?

SY 1772 was in steam again for the Tiefa Steam Locomotive Museum Diaobingshan steam locomotive festival this month which is now a big tourist attraction in China. It seems that the museum now operates the Tiefa Coal Mine System as a tourist railway which it has been used as a film location for many Chinese movies in recent times. Using SY 1772 in many of them and there are also reports of members of the Chinese public are having a go at driving and firing some of the steam locos there as well.

C2 0-8-0 No. 11 is still in working order as it is now preserved along with several other C2s as the Huanan Forest Railway is now a tourist railway since October 2018.

BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T No. 80080 will be hauling passenger trains at the Midland Railway Centre on the 16th-17th and 23rd- 24th of February which will be a rare opportunity. After those two weekends the locomotive will head back to the East Lancashire Railway for a few years.

Loco was at Darnitza, Kiev, Ukraine. in traffic in February 2016. Built by Lugansk 14470 in 1953 and is now oil fired.

SSN last operated this locomotive on 17 November 2018, after which it was withdrawn from operational duties requiring an overhaul for which there are currently few or no funds.I cannot comment The name of the constructor requires changing!

This locomotive, along with two others, was moved from Sibiu to the now recognised museum at Dej Triaj for cosmetic restoration, its new permanent home in mid November 2018.

The locomotive is preserved as number 1493 but, apparently, its actual running number was 1497 which would - possibly - make its construction number 3823 or something else?

Before its journey for Romania National Day on 01 December 2018, this locomotive along with tow others, was moved from Sibiu to the now recognised museum at Dej Triaj its new permanent home.

For 01 December 2018 (Nastional Day in Romania) the locomotive was brought out of 10 year storage in Targau Murest, given an overhaul and moved (minus connecting rods) with a light fire, to Alba Iulia Station for display with the Royal Train. The locomotive will, however, require boiler repairs and a new certificate before it can return to operational status.

Before its summer stay at Didcot No. 1450 is to visit its former first preserved home at the South Devon Railway for their 50th Celebrations from the 6th to the 14th of April 2019.
