NBL 19135/1911 was certainly built as a 2-60. Its two surviving stablemates - 19136/1911 and 19137/1911 - are both 2-6-0s.

Locomotive is currently for sale on Discover Live Steam. Is fully operational, and has been run sparingly since being imported to the U.S. in 1963.

This locomotive is permanently displayed (un-operational) at Svanskog Railway Station, Järnvägsgatan 1, rather than at Åmål.

For the first time in over 60 years Union Pacific Railroad famous Big Boy 4-8-8-4 No. 4014 was steamed for the first time on the 27th of April 2019 sounding its whistle marking in end of its restoration.

This locomotive was formally Madrid-Zaragoza-Alicante (MZA) No. 602 and displayed in its original guise outside the RENFE Fuente de San Luis, Valencia depot until 2009; from where it was moved to ARMF, Lleida. Now in overall black livery, it is now in working order.

The former War Department and ex Wemyss Private Railway Andrew Barclay built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 15 "Earl David" could be in steam again later this year as its overhaul at the Vale of Berkeley Railway is progressing to its final stages. When completed No. 15 will be available for hire to other preserved railways around the UK.

The ex Chesterfield Tube Co. Sentinel built 4wVBGT "Susan" has been undergoing trials at the Barry Tourist Railway testing bags of Blazer Logs as a new clean fuel for steam locomotives. The trials were a success and the locomotive will soon test the new fuel on passenger runs.

No. 32670 "Bodiam" has been moved to the North Norfolk Railway where its overhaul will be carried out there by North Norfolk Engineering. It is hoped the locomotive will be back in service in time for its 150th birthday in 2022.

LMS Jinty 0-6-0T No. 47493 is being purchase by the Spa Valley Railway from its current owner to be permently part of their running fleet. As the railway has launched a appeal to raise up to £200,000 to buy the loco and to overhaul it. It is hoped that No. 47493 could be back in steam again in 3 to 4 years time.

On March 5th 2019 the loco was removed from display in the Engine House and towed to Kidderminster where it is now stored awaiting overhaul.

The ex NCB Kinneil Colliery Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST No. 47 "Fambridge" will be visiting the newly open Leiston Works Railway in Suffolk taking the place of "Blue Circle" for the opening weekend on the 1st and 2nd of June 2019. Which will mark the 160 Anniversary of railways in Leiston.

In 2017 QJ 7119 was used in a experiment to see if a steam locomotive could operate on high pressure inert gas CO2. From a report from the Advanced Steam Traction Trust the Chinese 2-10-2 was trailed at Daban Depot with Gas which was piped up from a storage cylinder tank mounted on the tender. Which fed the CO2 Gas directly into the steam chest at a controlled pressure. The aim of it was to find a method of powering steam locomotives without polluting emissions. Sadly the experiments were not successful. QJ 7119 is currently in storage at Daban Depot with sister QJ 7038.

Although built as a 4-8-0 in 1904, it was rebuilt as a 4-8-2 in 1906. Six of the original class of 50 4-8-0s were rebuilt as 4-8-2s at this time - usually said to be the first 4-8-2s in the world.

Skookum is now operational and has left Oregon. Currently she is down in Sunol California and will spend the summer running on the Niles Canyon Railway.
