Rio Grande Southern #20 Has recently returned to Golden Colorado. She will now be reassembled and restoration will be complete!

The original identity of the this locomotives was KED Frankfurt 7265, i.e. before working for the PKP.

The locomotive is ex Carl-Alexander-Zeche Baesweiler 2; subsequently Cöln 1857; later only planned as DRG No. 90 042 in the 1925 renumbering scheme. Status: Non operational.

The complete locomotive was originally Cöln 7270 but only planned as DRG No. 90 009. In 1925 sold to Pfeifer & Langen, Köln. Status: Currently Dismantled.

This locomotive is a 1962 Rekolok (RAW Stendal) No. 52 6359, now owned by Interessengemeinschaft Dampflok Nossen e.V, (the former DR/DB Bw) Bismarckstraße 44, 01683 Nossen, Sachsen, Deutschland (info@bwnossen.de) who purchased it in 1998. Currently operational.

This locomotive is a 1965 Rekolok (RAW Stendal) No. 52 3218. It has been on loan from Wedler & Franz GbR (WFL), who purchased it in 2005, to Interessengemeinschaft Dampflok Nossen e.V, (the former DR/DB Bw) Bismarckstraße 44, 01683 Nossen, Sachsen, Deutschland (info@bwnossen.de) since November 2006 and where it is also currently under reconstruction.

This locomotive is a 1975 Rekolok using the boiler from DR No. 22.007. The current EDP number is 03.2155-4 and it has been on loan from Wedler & Franz GbR (WFL), who purchased it in 2010, to Interessengemeinschaft Dampflok Nossen e.V, (the former DR/ DB Bw) Bismarckstraße 44, 01683 Nossen, Sachsen, Deutschland since January 2012.

No. 46100 "Royal Scot" is having new tyres being fitted to all of her wheels and work being carried out on her blastpipe and she should be back on the mainline and heritage railway circuit from July.

Work on No. 5029 is progressing slowly as her boiler is in the main boiler shop at Crewe being worked on. But work on the locomotive is on hold but I was told it will pickup when work on 60532 nears completion.

I was at the All Change open day at LNWR Heritage and saw and learnt that 60532s overhaul and rebuild was coming along very well. Work on the LNER A2 Pacific has seen a new middle cylinder made and a brand new smokebox built as well. There is also construction of a new tender tank as well. The boiler is being worked on with a new inner and outer firebox being built. It is hoped that 60532 will be back in steam by 2021.

Having been at the Nene Valley Railway for only a few months No. 6430 is returning back home to the Llangollen Railway at the end of this month as it is needed to cover summer services there.

Ex War Department Hunslet built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 75118 or S134 "Wheldale" has been moved up to the locomotive depot and workshops at Embsay to begin dismantling for its overhaul. The boiler and cab and saddle tank will be worked on at Embsay and the main chassis of the locomotive will be sent to the Statfold Barn Railway at Tamworth in Staffordshire for overhaul by Statfold Engineering.

The ex Londonderry Railway and Seaham Harbour Dock Co. 1877 Lewin built 0-4-0WT No. 18 is visiting the Tanfield Railway as their second visiting locomotive for their Legends of Industry Gala from the 14th to 16th of June 2019.

LNER A4 Pacific No. 4464 "Bittern" along with LMS Black Five No. 45379 will both be the centre of attention at the Hornby Visitor Centre Open Weekend on the 17th and 18th of August 2019. As the doors of Locomotive Storage Ltd there will be open to the public for the first time then.

A video posted on You Tube on June 6th 2019 showed the loco as it arrived at Bo'ness for cosmetic restoration. The restoration is sorely needed. When moving the loco, they had problems as the leading wheels refused to turn, a result of the many years since it last moved.

Now officerly named S160 No. 2253 "OMAHA" was steamed for the very first time today which marks the end of its overhaul and rebuild.
