The 2016 North Dorset Locomotive Works built 0-4-2T No. 8 "Faith" has been put up for sale as it has been deamed surplus at the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway for its size and is now up to go to a new home.

The ex Courtaulds Ltd Peckett built 0-4-0ST Works No. 2087 "Achillies" has now been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul and is expected back in service at the East Kent Railway in 2023.

Please correct builder to Esslingen 3635 1911. Baldwin 15299 was a 4-4-0 for the Erie RR.

This loco does appear on the Esslingen list as 3635 of 1911 together with 12 to 14.

The ex Imperial Smelting Corporation sole surviving Sentinal built 200hp 4wVBGT No. 1 "Swansea Vale" has now left the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway as the locomotive has been sold to a private owner and has relocated to the East Kent Railway at Shepherdswell in Kent where it is now under overhaul for use there.

The overhaul on former GWR Prairie 2-6-2T No. 5521 is now completed and the locomotive has been turned out in its London Transport maroon livery as London Transport No. L150. No. 5521 now L150 is now back in service and has gone to the Swindon & Cricklade Railway for testing and running in and will also be taking part in their Anniversary Gala weekend in September 2021.

The ex CEGB, Barton Avonside built 0-4-0ST Works No. 1973 "Dora" is now located at Riley & Son Engineering Ltd. at Heywood in Lancashire where it is being overhauled.

The former Yorkshire Tar Distillers Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST Works No. 1823 "Harry" is now located at a private site at Avening in Gloucestershire where the locomotive is being stored there.

Despite appearances, this former Austrian loco does appear to date from that era - I checked some reputable sources on line and they agree the date as shown.

I very much doubt if this is a turn-of-the century 0-6-0 built in 1908. It looks like a Hungarian MAV class III (later class 335), 233 of which were built by Wiener-Neustadt in Austria and 18 by MAVAG in Budapest in 1869-78.

7827 Lydham Manor Is Currently Out Of Traffic Undergoing A Overhaul It had a boiler certificate that was valid until April 2021 but the locomotive was withdrawn from service in October 2020. It is thought the overhaul will take two years. Its Hoped That Wil Be Repainted Into GWR Green But This Is Hopeful Thought

Sorry but 60 inches is 1524 mm. All the Baltic states retain Russian gauge. The new Rail Baltica will be standard gauge.

Hi Richard. I believe the 60 means 60 inches, the 5 foot gauge of Russia. We often show them in metric measurement, however, as 1435mm. I will make the change to avoid further confusion!

The former Imperial Chemical Industries 0-4-0DH RS8 formerly a 0-4-0ST built by Avonside is currently visiting the Cromford Steam Rally, which is taking place near Matlock this weekend where the locomotive is first public appearance since restoration.
