The former Associated Portland Cement Manufacturers Andrew Barclay built 0-4-0ST Works No. 2015 "Tom Parry" has now left the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway and has been relocated to the West Somerset Railway where it is now under restoration at their workshops at Williton.

I visited the ES&NA a few months ago now, and the 201 has been removed from the railroad to Reading Railroad in AR for cosmetic restoration.

The ex GWR Large Prairie 2-6-2T No. 5199 located now at the West Somerset Railway at Minehead in Somerset where it will remain for now.

With the A4 now sadly out of service for good No. 60009 "Union of South Africa" has been on display during the East Lancashire Railway’s recent Autumn Steam Gala. The Railway has announced that Number 9 will be on display again at Bury Bolton Street Station on the 6th and 7th November 2021 for people to take photographs. Before she is moved to another location for static display.

With its new boiler now fitted and its overhaul complete the Bure Valley Railway’s 15inch gauge ZB Class 2-6-2 No. 7 "Spitfire" is now returning home to the Bure Valley Railway at Aylsham in Norfolk along with a spare boiler from North Bay Engineering Services.

The having completed its test runs the ex South African Railways Hanomag (Hannover-Linden) built NGG16 Class 2-6-2+2-6-2 Garratt No. 60 is now back in service and will soon be hauling its first passenger trains in the UK for the very first time soon.

It seems as if repairs to Duchess of Sutherland are now complete as the loco is due to take a test run from Butterley to Tyseley on Thursday 21st October.

The overhaul on former GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor" is now in its final stages as the boiler has passed a successful steam test and will soon be lifted back onto the frames of the locomotive for final completion.

The overhaul on the ex South African Railways Hanomag (Hannover-Linden) built NGG16 Class 2-6-2+2-6-2 Garratt No. 60 has now been completed and the locomotive has strated undergoing test runs on the Vale of Rheidol Railway before entering service soon.

Having done some searches I have found clear photos if the loco at Scherbinka and it is clearly Op.

I also thought that this picture of the locomotive made it look like it was numbered as a class Od, but watching videos of the locomotive, it is clearly labelled ‘Op’.

The location is the Rzhevsky War Memorial station where it was installed in May 2021. The photo appears to show an L behind of which I have no details.

Interesting comments. I had this listed as an Ov but enlarging the superb photo it certainly appears to carry Od.

The North British Locomotive Preservation Groups Newsletter for October 2021 reports that Buenos Aires & Pacific 2-8-0 No 121was steamed on 19th September 2021 and has moved under its own power once again. There remains some more work to do before the loco can return to revenue service. It had been in service in the 1990s, but had been stored in the shed at Ingeniero Jacobacci for at least a decade.

The 15 is intended to be the third candidate for restoration. However, it could end up being the second to return to service depending on the progress of the 14. Whatever issues may befall either locomotive during the restoration process will see the other be focused on more so at running again.

Having had a successful season on the Jacobite services in Scotland this year the ex LMS Black Five No. 45212 has returned home to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway time for their Beer and Music Festival this weekend on the 16th 17th of October 2021. After this the locomotive will undergo its winter maintenance before appearing on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway’s post Christmas services in late December and New Years before another season out on the mainline again in 2022.

The ex LMS Jinty 3F 0-6-0T No. 47357 now numbered No. 16440 has returned to the Midland Railway Centre from Riley & Son Ltd engineering workshops at Heywood in Lancashire for final completion of its overhaul.
