My mistake, 45305 is actually still in traffic and her last day in service will be on Wednesday.

When I visited Chojnice in 2001, Ty2-138 was displayed across the main line passing Chojnie Dewpot in premises signed as Zaklad Taboru , some sort of PK Works It was fully rstored and in great condition though non-operational. Several other ex DRB BR52s ere dumped in the main depot yard, and restored operational Tkt48-170 was between the Works nd Depot.

The ex Southern Railway rebuilt Builleid Merchant Navy Class Pacific No. 35009 "Shaw Savill" is currently located at Riley & Son Engineering Ltd. at Heywood in Lancashire where it is being overhauled and rebuilt to mainline standards with the hope she will be in steam in 2024.

Having hailed its final trains on the Iowa Interstate Railroad over the last weekend, ex China Rail and Jitong Railway QJ Class 2-10-2 No. 6988 has now been taken out of service and has now joined sister QJ 7081 in storage in Newton, Iowa where the locomotive with have its 1,472-day inspection.

Unfortunately 45305 has now been withdrawn from service after her extended boiler ticket came to an end yesterday. It will be a while before she steams again, with 777 and 70013 already undergoing overhauls. But a mainline return is on the cards for her next stint of operation.

The locomotive is now part of the collection of the Sioux City Railroad Museum in Sioux City, Iowa with Great Northern 4-6-2 Pacific No. 1355. It arrived there today.

When I visited this ite in 2001, this loco was already in an open wagon in pieces. I was told that it how it had arrived, and so it may never has existed here as a complete loco.

Ty5-16 was inside the roundhouse in September 2001 but not positioned suitably for photographs. It appeared to be in reasonable condition.

It may be worth the last contributor reading my 2020 notes relating to No. Pt47-101 which gives more up to date, and reliable, information. Polish informants have no knowledge of No. Pt47-10 being extant.

The BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T No. 80078 has left the Mid Norfolk Railway and is now visiting the Swanage Railway over the festive season as extra motive power for their Santa Specials and their Steam and Lights Trains over Christmas. After this the locomotive will return to its private site base in Burnham-on-Crouch in Essex for its winter maintenance before returning to the Mid Norfolk Railway for the 2022 season.

I have notes provided (on 4Oct2000) by curator at Kreszowice that show this locomotive (as pictured on site) as Pt47 101 (not 10). My own photo shows the number as 101. Could this be the loco which appears as Pt47 101 in the database, an whose hostory does not appear to overlap the "Pt47-10"

Locomotive is located at Allentown & Auburn Railroad in Topton PA, and has undergone a lot of work in the last year. A new boiler has been rolled, the engine has been dismantled, and now is in the reassembly stage. It will run again not too long from now if everything pans out as is looking.

This engine is very likely the last narrow gauge engine built for domestic use.

This locomotive, along with heisler at the Silver Creek & Stevenson Railroad in Illinois were the first engines to run the line when the railroad ran steam engines. They were retired when the trains became too big, and were replaced with the prairie and the East Broad Top 6. Also, this engine is no longer at this location. She has been sold to the Southern Forest Heritage Museum in Longleaf Louisiana. Please change Location

The ex China Rail and Jitong Railway QJ Class 2-10-2 No. 6988 is to make her final runs on the Iowa Interstate Railroad this weekend. The locomotive one of three ex China Rail and Jitong Railway QJ Class 2-10-2 locomotives to be preserved in the United States of America has been running on the Iowa Interstate Railroad with her sister QJ 7081 since leaving China back in April 2006 following the end of steam on the Jitong Railway in December 2005. 6988 will be hauling a freight train between its home in Newton and South Amana, Iowa and back. After this the locomotive will join 7081 in storage until a overhaul on both locomotives can be carried out.
