Ty5-16 was inside the roundhouse in September 2001 but not positioned suitably for photographs. It appeared to be in reasonable condition.

Dale W Fickés reports

Ty5-16 (50.1029) came into PKP service in 1945 and a year later appeared at Rzeszów depot. It travelled relatively widely before being withdrawn in early 1979 at Poznan Glowny Towarowa depot from where it stayed until 1992 before being taken to Jarocin. However this was not to be its final resting place as, in January 1994 it again moved, on this occasion Jaworzyna Slaska where it remains in the Museum of Industry and Railways in Silesia, ul. Towarowa 4, 58-140 Jaworzyna Slaska, Lesser Silesia
