Some new information has come to light on former GWR Hall Class 4-6-0 No. 4920 "Hogwarts Castle" ("Dumbleton Hall") as the locomotive is still owned by the head of West Coast Railway Company in the UK and the move to Tokyo, Japan is a long term loan to Warner Bros who have hired the locomotive for display at the new Harry Potter Studio Tour there in that part of the world. Although No. 4920 will be sadly missed in the UK but at least she will reprisent the best of british steam locomotives of the Great Western Railway and the UK on the other side of the world.

A tarket date for the first steaming of new build LNER P2 Class 2-8-2 No. 2007 "Prince of Wales" has been set for mid 2023. As the construction of the locomotive progresses with the boiler arriving from Dampflokwerk Meiningen works in East Germany during 2022 and work is underway on the fabrication of the monobloc cylinders which are currently being welded and the outside motion is being forged and machined.

The 1975 built working replica of "Locomotion No. 1" has been relocated to Locomotive Maintenance Services at Loughborough in Leicestershire for a full overhaul to return to steam again in rediness for its part in the bicentenary celebrations marking 200 years of opening of the Stockton and Darlington Railway in 2025.

The world famous Fowler/Stanier rebuilt LMS Royal Scot Class 4-6-0 No. 46100 "Royal Scot" will be visiting the East Lancashire Railway for the very first time as their star visiting locomotive for their Spring Steam Gala from the 25th to 27th February 2022.

The locomotive is No 5 ‘THOMMEN’ and was withdrawn in 1954 when the line was electrified.

As previous noted, builder is Krauss-Maffei. Loco has been overhauled and is operational in September 2021. Loco owned by SSN and based in Rotterdam.

This locomotive came off its plinth in 1987 and was overhauled. It is now with Historische Seethalbahn at their depot in Hochdorf.

Ogwen is paying a visit to the Statfold Barn Railway for a very special Penrhyn themed Enthusiasts Day on the weekend of 19/20th March. Here she will line up alongside locomotives Sybil Mary, Cegin, GP39 and sister Marchlyn, all also former Penrhyn locos.

O1 class 65 has been sold by the Lewis-Evans family to the Bluebell Railway, securing the locomotive for the line. She has become the third SECR loco owned by the railway, after P 178 and C 592.

4247 is to be sent to the East Somerset Railway in the next few days for a contract overhaul there. Once this is completed she will be loaned to the Dartmouth Steam Railway for a minimum of 20 years. No work will be done until Large Prairie 4110 is finished later in the year.

The locomotive was originally No 1 ‘RHÄTIA’ of the Landquart - Davis Railway (L -D) that became part of the RhB in1895, the locomotive keeping it’s same identity.

Built for the Lausanne Echelons Bercher Railway as their No 5 ‘BERCHER’ It’s first spell of preservation was at a park in Feldkirch, Austria.

This is Régionale des Brenets Railway No. 3 ‘LES BRENETS’. The line was electrified in 1950, when it was probably withdrawn and then ‘sectioned’ for display at the local Technical School.

This is Fraeunfeld - Wil Railway (F - W) No. 2 carrying the name ‘HÖRNLI’ from former engine No. 4. It was withdrawn in 1921 and stored by the railway.

This steam tram was sold to the Stansstad - Engelberg Railway (S- E - B) in 1904 and became their No 15. It was retired in1953 and placed in the museum during 1958.

This is the second locomotive, a 0-4-0RT, built for the quarry line of the Ostermundingen - Steinbruch - Railway (O-S-B) outside Berne, by Gesellschaft Bergbahnen, Aarhus, as their No. 2 ‘ELFE’. The railway closed in 1902 and this locomotive sold to the Von Roll company, on this occasion at Gerlafinge and given the number 6 It was retired in 1941 and originally stored at Vallorbe.

This locomotive was built by the then Swiss Central Railway, Olten (S-C-R) for the Ostermundigden - Steinbruch Railway (O - S - B) outside Berne, as their No. 1 ‘GNOM’. The line closed in 1902 and the engine sold to the Von Roll Co AG as their No7 at their Rodez premises. It was ‘retired’ in 1940 and stored prior to preservation.

The railcar was actually built for the North Eastern Railway (N -O -B) as their No. 1 which, shortly after delivery ceded to the SBB. It was then re-constructed in 1907 with a Vertical Boiler and sold to the Uerikon - Bauma Railway (U - B - R) as their No. 31, being withdrawn finally in 1950.

In October 2020, loco was operational at BURGDORF, owners are Dampfbahn Bern, location was old EBT depot.
