Some new information has come to light on former GWR Hall Class 4-6-0 No. 4920 "Hogwarts Castle" ("Dumbleton Hall") as the locomotive is still owned by the head of West Coast Railway Company in the UK and the move to Tokyo, Japan is a long term loan to Warner Bros who have hired the locomotive for display at the new Harry Potter Studio Tour there in that part of the world. Although No. 4920 will be sadly missed in the UK but at least she will reprisent the best of british steam locomotives of the Great Western Railway and the UK on the other side of the world.

One of Collett’s “Hall” class 2 cylinder 4-6-0s for general express passenger work, 4920, “Dumbleton Hall” was built in 1929 and named after a stately home near Evesham, Worcestershire. She was stationed at Reading and later at Oxford from whence she was retired in 1965. After a lengthy stay in Barry scrap yard she was restored in 1974 and now is based on the South Devon Railway. At present she is out of service awaiting overhaul. 18th July 2007
