Yes, Brian Garvin is correct - we do show Maeklong Railway 2-4-0T No. 6 (Displayed as RSR 7) at the railway head office. I will return this to the works.

No. 48305 will be visiting the Mid Hants Railway for their Spring Steam Gala on 29th April to the 1st May 2022. This will be the first time an 8F has run between Alton and Alresford, though there have been records of them reaching Alton.

Please amend builders date to 1905. At an unknown date it was rebuilt to compressed air operation by works trainees.

The photo appears to be taken in Makkasan works and is of TRC 1 Krauss München 5011 of 1993. The loco outside the HQ I have recorded as MRC 6 Krauss München 6021 of 1908 displayed as 7.

Status should be "overhaul" until further notice. Locomotive was scheduled to return December 2021. However, after breaking the left-hand valve piston ring twice during the loaded mainline test runs in January 2022, JR Hokkaido withdrew its operating calendar for the 2022 season and is conducting a throrough inspection of the valve gear, valves and cylinders.

Location should be changed to Shin-Kanaya Depot, Oigawa Railway, Kanaya, Shizuoka, Japan. The Oigawa Railway stepped in at the last minute to purchase the locomotive as it was slated to be scrapped at the end of 2021. Status should be "stored". The railway plans to conduct a feasibility study to restore the locomotive to working order.

In 1925 became DRG No. 94 002 and in 1927 went to the Eschweiler BV, Zeche Carl-Alexander, Baesweiler No. 3; then to DGEG.

Formerly Geiger, Züblin & Co., München which was then exported to Argentina until being brought to the UK, reconditioned by Patrick Keef, Preston and exported to Germany in 2013. No known number.

I believe this should be Metre (1000mm) gauge, as previous and ensuing Krauss examples provided via Kinch, Bangkok to the Tachin Railway ?

Originally No. 21 for the same company, having swapped identity with Krauss 5143/1904 in the early 1970s. It spent several years with the Musée du basin houiller Lorraine at Petite-Rosselle, Moselle as No. 20 and returned ‘home’ in 1997.

It is possible that the plates on the cab of this locomotive M.R.C. 2 relate to the Japanese company, Mitsu Rail Corporation ?
