VR 4-6-0 No. 451Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Mar 7, 2022 @ 05:03:22
Again VR would not have been the original owner, and the number probably not VR but of a earlier railway ?

VR 2-6-0 No. 400Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Mar 7, 2022 @ 05:03:51
Again the probably relates to it’s original railway as VR was not constituted when built. It would only have run for VR after 1917.

This is a Class G9 built for a railway in Finland, NOT VR which had not been formed and therefore the ‘given’ number would be of that line. It may not ever have been in service with VR as it was sold to a private industrial railway in the country.
