Please change location to "Kisha Club, Noogata, Fukuoka Prefecture". The locomotive has been cosmetically restored by the Kisha Club, custodians of no fewer than 8 locomotives in the Fukuoka area with three such locomotives (Consolidation 59647, Mikado D5110, and this one) onsite at their facility in Noogata.

Please change status to "Stored" and owner to "City of Hitoyoshi". The locomotive pulled its last train on March 23, 2024. Current owner JR Kyushu has expressed that the locomotive will be donated to the City and will eventually be displayed at the locomotive depot.

Please restore status to "Operational". My apologies for failing to report on this matter. The locomotive has returned to revenue service in January 2024 after an unexpected 2 year absence due to the piston ring failure immediately post overhaul in 2022.

Please change status to "Display". Having checked inside her cab during a visit on April 13, I discovered a note on her pressure gauge stating the flues need to be replaced due to leaks. The locomotive has not operated in close to 5 years, if I have not mistaken.

Please change status to "Display" for the time being. The locomotive reversed off the end of the water track on January 8 2024 with minor damage and is now awaiting repairs to the tender. Though the damage is indeed minor, the Umekouji shop crew have Mikado D51200 returning to the mainline at Yamaguchi, Pacific C571 under heavy overhaul, and their 0-4-0 tank B2010 also down with leaking flues. Due to this heavy workload, the timeline for the repairs to C622 are unclear.

Please change status to "Overhaul". Fuji Railway 9 has been withdrawn for complete disassembly in July 2023. The locomotive resides at Oigawa Railway in their Shin Kanaya repair shop at the time of writing, with the overhaul expected to take up to 2 years. This will be the most thorough rebuild this locomotive has had since moving to Meiji Mura in 1974.

Contrary to what was previously noted here, No. 910 only departed the Stainmore Railway this past week. It has not moved to York, but rather to Locomotion in Shildon, where it is currently undergoing attention in their workshop.

With its overhaul now underway, the National Railway Museum’s ex LSWR T9 4-4-0 No. 30120, has now relocated to the Flour Mill Works at Bream in Gloucestershire, where the overhaul will get underway there.

This locomotive has been moved to Middleton, Wisconsin. It is currently in private storage and its number is 9933, built in 1942.

The overhaul on the National Railway Museum’s ex LSWR T9 4-4-0 No. 30120, has been given the go ahead, as both the T3 Locomotive Trust and the Swanage Railway have launched Project 120, as they have reached a new agreement with the National Railway Museum to initially assess the condition of the locomotive, ahead of a commitment to return No. 30120 to steam for further service on the Swanage Railway again. The aim is to have No. 30120 in steam in time for her 130th Birthday in 2029! The T3 Locomotive Trust are initially trying to raise £50,000 to enable the locomotive to be dismantled and assessed. Should they be successful, then later in the year the boiler and tender will be taken to the Flour Mill and the chassis will head to Herston Works for inspection.

The ex Southern Railway rebuilt Bulleid West Country Class Light Pacific No. 34046 "Braunton", will be on display in light steam at the West Somerset Railway at the Bay Platform at Bishops Lydeard Station, during their Spring Steam Spectacular, from the 3rd to 6th of May 2024.

The No. 4, along with a 2nd 0-4-0WT, were sent to a steam park in Olympia, Washington in 1999.

The locomotive was built by Ceskomoravska Kolben-Danek (CKD), not Skoda

Buult by Nippon Sharyo in 1940, Construction number is 898. Locomotive was scrapped in 2009, and the left and right sets of driving wheels were split up and displayed at Okinoshima Municipal Library (right hand side set, displayed with number plate) and at Choshi Dam Park (left hand side set, displayed with number plate)

The ex GKN, Eastmoors Steelworks, Hunslet built 48150 Class 0-6-0ST No. 18 "Jessie", is visiting the West Somerset Railway for the first time to star at their Spring Steam Spectacular, being held from the 3rd and 6th of May 2024. The visit will also be the final appearance "Jessie" in her current livery, with a repaint planned for her return home to the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway afterwords.
