I indeed have this built by O & K, in 1923/4 as it was delivered in 762mm gauge in January 1925 to, or via, Mitsu Busson Kaisha, and latterly at Himeiji, Japan.

The overhaul on BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T No. 80135 has been given the go ahead by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway following a generous legacy from Mr Clifford Luff. Engineering companies are now being tendered to manufacture a new inner firebox as well as a complete boiler overhaul. When complete No. 80135 will be mainline registered again to work trains to Whitby on Network Rail’ Esk Valley Line.

No 532 was part of a batch of 40 locos built by North British locomotive Co. for the Chilean State Railway in 1908. In the 1908s it was working as the San Bernado works shunter.

A milestone has been reached in the restoration of ex GWR Large Prairie 2-6-2T No. 4110, as after heavy overhaul and rebuilding the boiler of No. 4110 was steamed for the first time since BR days as the boiler begins its steam test.

This locomotive was never a Colorado locomotive. Baldwin built the locomotive for the Hancock and Calumet Railroad.

The ex Central Electricity Generating Board Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn built 0-6-0T Works No. 7684 "Nechells No 4" has had its side tanks and cab refitted ahead of its move to Locomotive Maintenance Services Ltd. for its boiler to be refitted to its mainframes.

BR Standard 2MT 2-6-0 No. 78019 is now in the final stages of its overhaul at Loughborough shed on the Great Central Railway, as its boiler was craned back onto its mainframes and work is underway painting the tender.

The ex GWR 66XX Class 0-6-2T No. 6695 was steamed for the first time since 2015 on the 29th of July 2022. It is hoped that No. 6695 will enter service at the Swindon & Cricklade Railway in September 2022.

The ex GWR King Class 4-6-0 No. 6024 "King Edward I" was steamed for the first time since April 2012 on the 4th of August 2022, for its steam test which the locomotive successfully passed. Now in the final stages of its overhaul, it is expected that No. 6024 will be operational in the Autumn for testing and running in trials.

The Gala will see "Liassic" be reunited with sister Peckett built 0-6-0ST Works No. 1270 "Triassic" although not operational will double-head with "Liassic" during the Gala.

The above is unfortunately incorrect. Ex-TSC 362 is another, different locomotive that was once operating at the now defunct Nobeyama SL Land. This locomotive is ex- Ikasa Railway No. 7, Orenstein & Koppel serial no. 10473 built in 1923. The locomotive has since moved from Nobeyama to the Furukawa Ashio History Museum in Nikko, Tochigi prefecture and is on display.

Built to 600mm gauge for Co. Minera de Torreon, Mexico late Cia Minera de Penoles-Avalos. It went to the CC & VR, CO, USA in 1964, it actually is O&K 2797/1908 with no history of being re-gauge prior to moving to the USA ?

After its work for P&J, Belgium it went to Ponts & Chaussées Tunnels & Trassments, Limburg, Belgium before ending up at the ESM, Kaatsheuvel, North Brabant, Nederlands running around the Efteling Theme Park.

Previously this was supplied through Hanko & Co. to Lindenberg, Nellen & Cia, Buenos Aires and only later EdF Noroeste do Brazil No. 1. It was at Bauru in that guise during 1993.

Apparently following ownership by Bellefille Proprietaire, it went via intermediary J Reiss of Paris to Sables de Nemours, Chervrainvilliers as their No. 8 and later to the CF dAttraction du Parc de la Tete dOr, Lyon bfore reaching M Didier of Satolas, Isère. From here it went to Tacot des Lacs at 77880 Grez sur Loing, Seine-et-Marne, France. The Tacot des Lacs is a 600mm gauge line which runs for around 3km on the trackbed of an old sandpit railway originally built in 1905. The Sablières de Bourron railway closed in 1969, the last such railway to close in Seine-et-Marne (both Sablières de Nemours systems closed in 1966). Built to a gauge of 760mm, in 1937 this went to the IRR Rheinbauleitung Bregenz, Werkplatz Widnau and named STEFFI and was re-gauged to 750mm, working here until 1948. It only went on loan to the Kärtner Museumsbahn (KMB) in 1972 in its named identity.

A big milestone was reached in the construction of New build London Brighton & South Coast Railway H2 Class Atlantic 4-4-2 No. 32424 "Beachy Head" as the boiler for the locomotive was craned onto the mainframes for the very first time. With the boiler now on the locomotive is in the final stages of construction.
