the location in the map is incorrect. it is in a building covered by trees located next to the river and bus stop, somewhat close to the maps location. please change the location.

Locomotive is no longer at the museum. I asked about it the last time I was there (a few years ago) and IIRC it is now privately owned. I do not know who now owns it or where it is.

This is probably O&K 10874/24 of the Hacienda Casa Grande, reported by Bob Whetham as derelict at Porto de Chicama in 2005.

For its last year of its current boiler ticket, the BR built ex LMS Ivatt Class 2MT 2-6-2T No. 41312, has been repainted into early British Railways livery with British Railways lettering on the side tanks.

The unique BR Standard 8P Class Pacific No. 71000 "Duke of Gloucester", is making its first heritage railway visits during 2026 for the following completion of its overhaul last year, with a return visit to the Severn Valley Railway for their Spring Steam Gala from the 16th to 19th of April 2026, then later in the year No. 71000 will visit the Bluebell Railway for the very first time for their Giants of Steam from the 16th to 18th of October 2026.

The restoration of the ex GWR Large Prairie 2-6-2T No. 4150, is now nearing compeletion as the locomotive is set to make its debute in traffic in preservation for the first time during the Severn Valley Railway’s Spring Steam Gala from the 16th to 19th of April 2026.

Before it leaves the Great Central Railway to return home to the Swanage Railway, the ex Southern Railway Bulleid Battle of Britain Class Light Pacific No. 34072 "257 Squadron", will take part in their Remembering the Somerset and Dorset Railway event on the 7th of March 2026, as part of the 60th Anniversary since the closure of much loved the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway, which closed forever on March the 7th, 1966, as part of Beeching’s cuts, with the last passenger train running on the route between Bath and Bournemouth on the 6th of March that year.

BR Standard 2MT 2-6-0 No. 78018, is soon to be withdrawn from service for its next 10-year overhaul. Its last weekend in service at the Great Central Railway will be on the 21st and 22nd of February 2026, where it will run alongside and possibly doublehead with its sister No. 78019 one last time for a while.

The overhaul on ex War Department, Hunslet built Austerity 0-6-0ST (Works No. 3800) No. 200, is now in the final stages of completion, as the boiler, saddle tank and cab are all back on the frames and work is now underway on the pipework, valves and other fittings. When this is all done the locomotive will be ready to begin testing before entering service at the Colne Valley Railway this year.

The overhaul of BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T No. 80064, is now progressing as the boiler of the locomotive has now been sent to Riley & Son Engineering Ltd for overhaul until late 2027 or early 2028.
