Hohenlimburger 0-4-0T No. UnknownPosted by: Achim on Oct 16, 2023 @ 11:10:38
This rare Jung tunnel locomotive was delivered to Hohenlimburger Kalkwerke GmbH in 1941. Since a rock tunnel was passed through on the route between the quarry and the lime works, it could not be higher than 2 m including the drivers cab. The machine remained in use until the 1960s and was then given as a gift to the collector Eberhard Koenig in Eslohe. Due to its size and weight, it could not be used on the tracks of its own factory railway (Koenig & Co. KG Werkzeug- und Maschinenfabrik) and was therefore reserved for the Machine and Local History Museum Eslohe e.V., which is now known as the Museum DampfLandLeute . 51.261674° 8.165970°
