It is currently under restoration for use on their 2ft narrow gauge line there. How this one ended up back in Argentina is a mystery. There is also an ex-locomotive boiler that is of similar design numbered 81 located in San Salvador, Paraguay. This year marks 40 years of "Beatrice" being in preservation in private ownership. "Beatrice" has seen upgrades in preservation such as the fitting of a rocking grate, hopper ashpan and a Lempor exhaust system. No. 69 has been sold to a member of the railway there and will be on display for now as it is planned to overhaul and restore the locomotive next year from 2021. When completed the worlds most famous steam locomotive should be ready for the festive season and the 2021 season on the mainline and heritage railway circuit.
