This was initially a ‘werk-horse’ at the factory in München before sold, in 1934, to a Dr. A. Walker of Burghausen and, in 1954 to PWA Aschaffenburger Zellstoffwerke AG, Rosenheim, then finally as “J. A. MAFFEI” to the BLV, Tergensee.

This is Bayeriches Staatsbahn No. 2527 that became DRG No. 98 727 in 1925 until 1942, and the following year went to the South German Sugar Co., Regensburg as their No. 4 until 1971. It moved to it’s current home in 1972.

In 1956 the locomotive went to the Danske Stavalsevark (DDS), as their No. 10 in Frederiksvaerk and, in moved to the DJK in 1973.

I still have this as Maffei 1457/1887 and previously Ferrara Suzzara, Lombardi, numbered and named 14 “MINCIO”. In 1971 it was at Fratelli Balestra, Longiano, later to the Museum of Transport at Bologna San Donato.

This grand little locomotive later worked on the restored section of the CF du Vivarais, prior to it’s current troubles. Perhaps the title CFV needs to be changed to it’s current location in Provence ?

The locomotive was originally sold to CFE (Nord-Est) and then, in 1921, to the Transport Department of l’Aisne. It was, at one time, in the museum at Verneuil and carried the name “AISNE” along with it’s running number.

In 1952 this was sold to Usines de Melle who kept it at their then facility.

Once named “FOULLETOURTE”, this was sold to the Société de Fonderie Usine Radiateurs, Sarthe in 1947 and later preserved in the Musée de l’Automobile, Le Mans before moving to Beillé where it was found outside the depot on display (un-restored) in 2018.

The ex New South Wales Government Railways D59 Class 2-8-2 No. 5917 location is the Hunter Valley Railway Trust at North Rothbury in New South Wales where the locomotive is based for mainline operations for the Picnic Train.

Built for the Railway Operating Division (ROD) as their No. 1265 in France, this became No. 3-23 of the TPT following WW1, until the line closed in 1964.

This interesting Engerth type loco I show built by Kessler in Karlsruhe 306 of 1856. There was a joint works list with Esslingen and the loco is considered the oldest Esslingen loco!

I agree it is Batignolles 1186 of 1887. Perhaps SE is Société Economique

Rowenhorst & Humbert were rail contractors (builders), the actual owners were previously ETB Villeneuve la Guyard. It is now named “Colette”.
