CFP 0-6-0 No. 167Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Apr 10, 2022 @ 05:04:30
I think the builder name should be SACM (Belfort). SACM stands for “Société Alsacienne de Constructions Mécaniques”. Because of ‘turbulence’ in the area at that time, locomotives were constructed in both Graffenstaden a suburb of Strasbourg) and Mulhouse, for Germany, and at Belfort for France, the latter being principally devoted to electric vehicles. I believe this to be the earliest extant steam locomotive constructed by the French factory, though it would appear many seem to think that SACM means Graffenstaden only!

SNCF 0-6-0 No. 030-C-841Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Apr 10, 2022 @ 05:04:12
I think the builder name should be SACM, Grafenstaden, this company being operational in that identity from 1872 ? SACM stands for “Société Alsacienne de Constructions Mécaniques”. Because of ‘turbulence’ in the area at that time, locomotives were constructed in both Grafenstaden (a suburb of Strasbourg) and Mulhouse, for Germany, and at Belfort for France, the latter being principally devoted to electric vehicles. Additionally, the location of the NRM, outside Montreal, should be Saint Constant, QC, Canada.
