The locomotive looks very similar to the one at six flags fiesta Texas. I think this locomotive is the same one in Texas

This is not the locomotive at Knotts. 2-4-0 that is currently there is Jennie K. from Cedar Point and the 2-4-4T that was formerly there was the ex-Ward Kimball.

Here is a photo of the motorized Tennessee Coal Engine at Fiesta Texas: http://ptreport.thrillnetwork.net/images/sfft/train.jpg. It looks much different then this one.

I believe that Michael is right.  You do have a listed locomotive of a 2-4-0 wheel arangement at Cedar Point.  It has an unknown construction number but everything else is the same except for the driver diameter and builder.  Is it posible that you may have faulty info on one of the engines?

Wes Barris' steamlocomotive.com lists a motorized Porter 2-4-0 at Fiesta in San Antonio, TX, with no information on build date or ownership history. Since Wes' site does not list another 2-4-0 that matches the description of this one, this one may be the one in Texas.

This Locomotive is No Longer at Dollywood.  In 1986, The park removed it from display when the change from Silver Dollar City to Dollywood took place.  I believe it can now be found at Cedar Point in Ohio.
