For the first time, the 2008 built working replica of Trevithick’s "Catch Me Who Can", has been visiting the East Lancashire Railway for their Railway 200 Gala where it has been on display inside the Bury Transport Museum there during the event.

this locomotive needs a cosmetic restoration very badly. it is almost completely covered in rust and any paint left is chipping off.

Following its filming use for the first series of the upcoming Harry Potter television series at Leavesden Studio in Harfordshire, the ex GWR Modified Hall Class 4-6-0 No. 6989 "Wightwick Hall", is making a return visit to its home at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre in its new Hogwarts Railways Red livery for a special series of steam days there on the Sundays 5th and 19th of October 2025, afterwords the locomotive will return to the Bluebell Railway to continue its loan to them inbetween its filming rolls.

as of 2025 the condition of this locomotive has declined quite a bit. the paint is chipped in some places, and is rusting away in other spots. the locomotive also has a fence around it to protect people from it.

Both #5744 and #5745 are preserved but the latter does not have an entry yet. It is now at the Richmond Light Railway in the UK.

I think that the photo actually shows the identical loco #5745. The only difference is the platework missing off the cabside; #5744 was repainted by 2005 as well. There is a great article about these two in Railways of the Far South. https://www.railwaysofthefarsouth.co.uk/13hirrigation.html

THERE IS STILL ONE LOCOMOTIVE IN JAPAN. THE No 4 WAS SINCE 1973 IN THE ITUZO PARK, LATER WITH THE WRONG No 5 IN KOKURA. O&K BUILT 5 LOCOMOTIVES No 1 - 5 FOR OKAWA KIDO KIUSHU RW 1911/4676 until 4680.
