Plans to have former Great Northern Railway J52 0-6-0ST No. 1247, put back into steam again have been put on hold by the National Railway Museum following a review by the NRM, as No. 1247 will remain on display in the Station Hall area of the NRM for now.

The Great Northern Railway J52 0-6-0ST No. 1247 is also on the cards to be overhauled back in to running again as part of the 15-year strategic plan by the National Railway Museum.

Now restored to its Great Northern livery, the British Railways era photo has moved to the album.

Currently in its final livery as BR No 68846, this loco has now moved to the new 'Locomotion' exhibition at Shildon, Co. Durham
