It has a excellent collection of UK locomotives some very famous and rolling stock from the earliest days of railways from the steam age up to first generation diesels and electrics. The London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) Encyclopedia covers the 25 year history of the LNER from its forming during the 1923 Grouping Act of the big four railway companys in Britain to the days of British Railways from 1948. The site has the history and technical information of the LNERs steam locomotives and rolling stock in their glory days to todays survivors in preservation and new builds.
