Supplied new to James Whittaker & Sons. In 1880 they opened a tramway at their Scout Moor Quarry, Ramsbottom, Lancashire. 1607 was withdrawn in 1910 and appears not to have worked after that. Various preservation plans came to nothing. Now displayed in a dismantled condition at the excellent steam collection at Hollycombe. I was given a guided look around their locomotive yard before trains started operating. When visiting spend some time at the operating steam fairground. The Razzle Dazzle ride is great.
