Delivered to the NWE as No. 21 in July 1939, it survived WW2 and in 1949 became the fledgling DR No. 99 6001, later No. 99 6001-4, succeeding to DB in January 1992 as No. 099 120. In 1993 it joined the HSB at Gernrode.

HSB(ex DR) No. 99.6001, a 2-6-2T at Wernigerode on 22 May 1992. The loco is painted in its original Nordhausen-Wernigerode Eisenbahn (NWE)livery and no. 21. On reunification of German Railways is was allocated the DB no.099 120-8 but probably never carried it.
