At Interlok it was adapted to the appearance of a DB locomotive and was given the number 99 1773. The locomotive has been parked in an inaccessible hall in Kanzach since 2002 after its operating license expired. Position unknown. Accordingly the build identity also needs resfresing. Is looked after by the Aschersleben Railway Club. Rollable but not completely preserved museum locomotive in poor condition. The locomotive still consists of chassis, boiler, drivers cab and tender. In April 2018, the locomotive was still parked at the Tecuci depot. Scrapping cannot be ruled out in the future. It has not been finally clarified whether the 230.401 is actually the former 38 1818, or whether at least parts of the 38 1818 were used in a previous repair of the locomotive. There is an inauthentic metal plate attached to the locomotive with the factory number 5567 and the year of manufacture 1915. This data could match the former locomotive 38 1732 (manufacturer: BMAG). The locomotive served in Cluj as a spare parts donor for the refurbishment of locomotive 230.084; among other things, the locomotive donated the third coupling axle. In 2002, the locomotive was transferred to the Sibiu Railway Museum and has been parked on the scrap tracks there ever since (as of 2017).
