DR (DRG) 0-6-0T No. 80.019Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Oct 22, 2023 @ 09:10:44
Post 1945, worked for the DR (in the then East Germany) NOT the DB, being scrapped prior to German unification in 1989, after which the two companies merged. Its location also requires attention as there is no evidence it being reserved for the Museum Fleet. However, it appears to have ended its days as a non-rollable steam-heater, i.e. No. WL 3, at Raw Leipzig Engelsdorf

Sena Sugar (Heeresfeldbahn) 0-8-0T No. 2 (HF945)Posted by: Achim on Oct 22, 2023 @ 09:10:08
Used by the Heeresfeldbahn in the area of the Western Front from 1916. In the 1920s, the locomotive, along with over a dozen other brigade locomotives, came to Mozambique to the Sena Sugar Estate sugar cane factory, which used the locomotives on its Luabo sugar cane plantation. There the locomotive was assigned the company number 2. Until civil war broke out in Mozambique in 1974, the locomotive was last used on the Marromeu sugar plantation, now known as No. 19. In 1998, an English railway friend bought the brigade locomotives that were parked in Mozambique. After their arrival in England, some locomotives were sold on to private individuals or clubs. This also applies to the HF 945 to Germany. The HF 945 came to the Fortuna Field and Mine Railway Museum (FGF) in Solms in 2003.

DR (DRB) 2-10-0 No. 50.0006-2 (50 2538)Posted by: Dale W Fickés on Oct 22, 2023 @ 05:10:20
The complete locomotive only ran for DR NOT DB post-war prior to withdrawal in 1988. It was, however first reconstructed at AW Stendal, still coal-fired, leaving here in 1960 as No. 50.3591 (this intermediate identity being missing from the file), but was recalled here in 1966 for conversion to oil-firing, emerging then in its current guise, minus the computer check digit. DB only took over after the locomotive was withdrawn! from service.
