The boiler of 4253 is to be sent to Heritage Boiler Steam Boiler Services for restoration, thus reducing the overhaul timescale by around 18 months.

After doing some research, the boiler number was hard to read and is actually 3068. This crosses over to construction number 6757. Built 8/16/1924.

The engine was officially retired by Union Pacific due to poor mechanical condition. Status should be out of service.

Loco has been at Heilbronn, Germany for a few years, under repairs in 2019, should be in use in 2020. Located at the Suddeutsche Eisenbahnmuseum, in the old depot.

After being on loan to the Helston Railway in Cornwall for 2 years since 2018. Ex Kilmersdon Colliery Peckett built 0-4-0ST "Kilmersdon" has been withdrawn from service for its 10 year overhaul and has returned home to the Somerset and Dorset Railway Trust’s base at Washford on the West Somerset Railway where the overhaul will take place at.

The overhaul of London, Brighton & South Coast Railway A1X Terrier 0-6-0T No. 672 "Fenchurch" is now underway at the Bluebell Railway’s Sheffield Park workshops. It is hoped that the locomotive will be in steam in time for the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Terrier locomotives in 2022.

5637, which has been cleared to run until April instead of last December, will return to her former home of the Swindon and Cricklade Railway as a farewell at their steam gala on 28/29th March . She is planned to run alongside classmate 6695 for only the second time in preservation.

The former Woolwich Arsenal Avonside built 18nich gauge 0-4-0T No. 1 "Woolwich" is relocating to the Statfold Barn Railway at Tamworth in Staffordshire to be part of their Narrow Gauge collection. This follows the diction by its now former owners the Waltham Abbey Royal Gunpowder Mills Company Ltd. following review of their locomotives and rolling stock and decided to concentrate more on their 2ft-6inch Narrow Gauge Railway known as the “Gunpowder Railway”. This has left the 18inch gauge Locomotives, “Woolwich” and Diesel locomotive “Carnegie” and five carriages together with an 18” Powder Wagon, surplus to their requirements to them. It is planned to have "Woolwich" in use at Statfold on their 18inch gauge running line which will be extended for longer running there along side their collection of Narrow gauge steam locomotives.

Ex GWR Large Prairie 2-6-2T No. 4110 has now arrived at the East Somerset Railway for its long awaited return to steam as the locomotive is being restored at their Cranmore workshops for the Dartmouth Steam Railway which will take a few years to do.

C38 Class Streamlined Pacific No. 3801 Australia’s most famous steam locomotive was steamed and moved under its own power for the first time since over a decade today. This marks the end of the locomotive’s overhaul as 3801 will be painted and undergo mainline test runs on the New South Wales State Railways network.
