The complicated history of the loco: 2-6-2T MÁV, Budapest 2593 of 1910 was originally MÁV No.7756; then SHS/DRB No.376.153. In 1933 it became JDŽ No.30-034 but, in 1948 it was designated MÁV No.376.006. However, in 1960, it was retired to Kaposvár Station, Hungary as MÁV No.376.642!

Bessemer & Lake Erie RR 2-10-4 No. 643Posted by: Matthew Gardner on Jun 3, 2020 @ 09:06:37
As of this moment, the engine is still sitting in Mckees Rocks. Age Of Steam was in the process of removing it from the location when the Coronavirus hit. The engine is completely dismantled. Boiler, running gear, wheels, and frame are all separated. They were about to go on trucks to go out. They will when we go Green again.

Cherokee Brick & Tile Co. 0-6-0T No. 7Posted by: Matthew Gardner on Jun 3, 2020 @ 09:06:21
I am of the understanding that this engine is missing at least 1, maybe even 2 sets of driving wheels. I do not know what Mr. Buckner intends to do with either of these engines with them in the state of condition they are in, however, I honestly hope they end up in the Glover Machine Works Exhibit at the Museum in Kennesaw, in exchange for the 2 engines which are in there now being pulled out and made operational. Those engines never got to work, and deserve a chance to do so.

British Railways 4-6-2 No. 60532 'Blue Peter'Posted by: Russell Newman on Jun 3, 2020 @ 06:06:36
The overhaul of LNER A2 Pacific No. 60532 "Blue Peter" is really progressing at LNWR Heritage at Crewe as the wheels have returned with new tyres fitted and a new tender tank has been built. The new middle cylinder has now been fitted to the frames of the locomotive and the boiler has seen a lot of work carried out to it including heavy firebox surgery and some modification to the height of the locomotive for it to run safely on Network Rail. Their is a possibility that No. 60532 could be back sooner then first expected?

Great Western Railway 4-6-0 No. 5029 'Nunney Castle'Posted by: Russell Newman on Jun 3, 2020 @ 06:06:01
No. 5029 is having some modification work being done to her boiler during her overhaul. As a new improved later pattern tree-row superheater is being fitted to her boiler which will help with the locomotive’s steaming and performance on the mainline more when she returns from her current overhaul.

London, Brighton & South Coast Railway 0-6-0T No. 54 (680, DS680) 'Waddon'Posted by: Russell Newman on May 30, 2020 @ 09:05:27
In 2022 will be the 150th anniversary of the London, Brighton & South Coast Railway A1 and A1X Class Terrier 0-6-0T. Which to mark this plans are underway that will see all ten members of the Class in preservation together for the very first time since the end of steam. As part of this celebration their are talks with Exporail in Canada about temporary loaning and repatriation of former London, Brighton & South Coast Railway A1 Class Terrier 0-6-0T No. 54 "Waddon" back to the UK for the celebrations then. Which will be a site to see then. Although No. 54 "Waddon" is still under review for possible being disposed off along with LNER A4 Pacific No. 4489 "Dominion of Canada" the review on both loco’s future’s in Canada is on hold for now?

SJ 2-8-0 No. E2 909Posted by: Russell Newman on May 30, 2020 @ 08:05:01
The former Swedish State Railways or SJ E2 Class inside cylinder 2-8-0 No. 909 is the only member of its Class that is preserved in Canada and was for a time the only operational European steam locomotive in the North Americas. Built in 1907 she was one of many steam locomotives that worked for many years in Sweden till she along with many other were put into strategic reserve in the 1970’s. No. 909 was later bought for preservation by a preservation society in Sweden in the early 1990’s but was later sold for preservation in Canada in 1992. No. 909 was converted to be oil fired and along with a rake of Swedish State Railway Coaches and a diesel locomotive were shipped over from Sweden to Canada for use at the Hull–Chelsea–Wakefield Steam Train operation in Quebec in Canada. The Hull–Chelsea–Wakefield Steam Train ran along a branch line of the Canadian Pacific Railroad from Hull to Wakefield and back where 909 ran there as the only operational European steam locomotive in Canada from 1992 till 2011 as sadly due to flood damage that was beyond repair the line closed that year. The Swedish State Railway carriages that 909 hauled there were sadly cut up for scrap apart from one that was sold to be a small café. Today No. 909 has been put on display at a mock up train station set up at Dalton Ecological Park where the loco is now at.
