The ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor", is now back in service again following repairs to its piston at the West Somerset Railway, and will be operating trains there for the 2026 season and will also be taking part in their Spring Steam Spectacular from the 1st to the 4th of May 2026.

The ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor", has had to be taken out of service having suffered a piston failure while on hire to the West Somerset Railway and is currently awaiting for an assessment for what repairs are needed.

The ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor", will be visiting the Gwili Railway for their upcoming 6 for 60 Gala weekend on the 15th and 16th of March 2025, marking 60 years since the closure of the Carmarthen to Aberystwyth line as well as marking their part for Railway 200, the 200th anniversary of the modern railway system’s birth.

Having been on hire to the West Somerset Railway for the 2024 season, ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor", has returned home to the Severn Valley Railway for the winter. Where she will be working their Santa Specials over the Christmas season. No. 7812 will remain at the Severn Valley Railway until the Spring of 2025 when she will return on hire to the West Somerset Railway from May 2025 until the end of 2027.

In 2024, ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor", will be visiting the Bluebell Railway first time, to be one of their staring visiting locomotives at their Branch Line Gala Weekend from the 10th to 12th of May 2024.

After being on hire to the West Somerset Railway over the summer, ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor" has returned home to the Severn Valley Railway in time for its use on their Santa Trains over the Christmas season this winter.

Freshly overhauled 7812 Erlestoke Manor will be spending a period on loan to the West Somerset railway from after the Severn Valley s spring gala to the autumn, while sister engine 7822 Foxcote Manor is at the Battlefield Line. 7812 has visited the WSR no less than 3 times previously.

With its overhaul now completed ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor" has returned home to the Severn Valley Railway at Bridgnorth in Shropshire, where she will undergo testing and running trials before entering service soon.

The overhaul of ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor" is now completed and the locomotive is operational again having undergone a steam test and moves around Tyseley Locomotive Works under her own steam again. With some final adjustments to be carried out No. 7812 will soon return to the Severn Valley Railway to begin running in trials and testing before entering service for the 2023 season there.

The overhaul of ex GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor" is now nearly complete as the locomotive has been reunited with its tender and now undergoing some final fitting and painting before being returned to the Severn Valley Railway for testing and running in trials soon.

The overhaul on former GWR Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7812 "Erlestoke Manor" is now in its final stages as the boiler has passed a successful steam test and will soon be lifted back onto the frames of the locomotive for final completion.

Having hauled its final trains today at the Severn Valley 7812 "Erlestoke Manor" has now been withdrawn from service as its 10 year boiler ticket has ran out. The locomotive will now under go its overhaul.
