The ex War Department and Wemyss Private Railway, Andrew Barclay built Austerity 0-6-0ST (Works No. 2183) (WD No. 71529) No. 15 "Earl David", has since relocated to the Flour Mill works at Bream in Gloucestershire, where it is being finnished up for service soon.

In a suprise move, it turns out that the overhaul on ex War Department and Wemyss Private Railway, Andrew Barclay built Austerity 0-6-0ST (Works No. 2183) (WD No. 71529) No. 15 "Earl David", has been completed and the locomotive is now operational again and is visiting the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway where it will make its debut back in traffic during their Railway 200 Cotswold Festival of Steam from the 24th to 26th of May 2025.

The former War Department and ex Wemyss Private Railway Andrew Barclay built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 15 "Earl David" could be in steam again later this year as its overhaul at the Vale of Berkeley Railway is progressing to its final stages. When completed No. 15 will be available for hire to other preserved railways around the UK.

J94 71529 Earl David has moved to the Vale of Berkeley Railway base at Sharpness for some boiler work to be done and be there first working steam locomotive.

No. 71529 has now been restored and has moved from Sutton Coldfield. It is now operating on the Nene Valley Railway near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. It is seen here at Wansford on 26 September 2008.
