The ex War Department Hunslet built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 3193 is to be turned out as J94 No. 68018, an ex LNER J94 Austerity 0-6-0ST that was sheded at Boston in Lincolnshire in BR days for a photo charter event at the Nene Valley Railway on the 30th of October 2023.

With its hired visit to the Colne Valley Railway for the 2022 running season now over, the ex War Department Hunslet built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 3193 "Norfolk Regiment" is now returning home to Bressingham Steam Museum for the winter until its next hired visit in 2023.

Ex War Department Hunslet built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 3193 "Norfolk Regiment" is to stay at its current location the Nene Valley Railway till the end of the 2020 season next year. No. 3193 is currently being put back together after some repair work at Wansford and will enter service hauling the Nene Valley’s Winter Light Spectacular trains over the Christmas Season.

Hunslet built Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 3193 "Norfolk Regiment" is set to make its first public steaming following completion of its overhaul at the Heritage Steam Gala at Bressingham Steam Museum on the 4th to 6th of May 2019.

No. 3193 "Norfolk Regiment" was steamed and moved under its own steam for the first time today at the Bressingham Steam Museum as part of a series of trials for its final certification and regular use on the heritage railway circuit from 2019 onwards.

Hunslet Austerity 0-6-0ST No. 3193 now named "Norfolk Regiment" was on display at Bressingham Steam Museum over the Bank Holiday weekend in its new WD paint work. No. 3193 will stay at Bressingham for running in before it moves elsewhere.

Now numbered No. 3193 the locomotive has now left Yaxham and has been moved to the Bressingham Steam Museum where it could be in steam there in the New Year.

Having been at the Mid Norfolk Railway today and passing throw Yaxham I saw that No. 75142 is now a complete locomotive in the yard there. From whats been said the boiler has been steam tested and it maybe that 75142 will be moving to Dereham soon for testing and to enter traffic at the Mid Norfolk Railway by the end of the year.

The locomotive is now non-operational requiring major boiler and firebox work. It was last steamed in 2004 but withdrawn from traffic on the discovery of a crack in the water jacket. On further investigation of this fault it was discovered that the metal in some parts of the firebox was wasted to such a degree that simple repair not possible. The engine now awaits funds for a complete boiler rebuild which is the only ecconomic repair posible.
